I agree with this. I don't mind alternate uniforms but stick with the school colors. no need to insert black, gray, metallic purple, etc.

its just Joe Alleva getting the pulse of the fans before he makes a decision. Leaking out the photos and then hopefully pull it back when they see how awful it is.
kinda like how they leaked out that Miles would be canned after the A&M game, then walked it back when people clapped for him.

Why mess with such a good thing? Our jerseys are easily top 10 in the country, probably top five. Why leave a Victoria’s Secret model for the homecoming queen of a local high school?

It's not too bad. The helmet looks great but the jersey could be done better. Overall I'm not a purist when it comes to uniforms. Sometimes it's fun to do something different. I don't get why a lot of fans have a panic attack about alternate uniforms for one game. LSU is not going to change their traditional look, it will be fine.

This isn't my favorite alternate uniform (I've really liked most of them) but it's not that bad. Never been crazy about purple helmets but I'm curious to see how this color changing thing works. We have one of the best color schemes in college football, might as well take advantage of it.
It gets the players excited and recruits like it, so I can dig it. You may not think so, but these kids love stuff like this.

I thought purple pants would look good with it but according to the rumors and the pic they’re white with a purple stripe.

What point does this serve? I’ve never liked messing with the uniform much. Numbers on the side of the helmet was a cool throw back, and wouldn’t mind seeing it again, but the radical departure from your standards has never appealed to me in the least.

Agreed. Best alternate helmets I’ve seen. I wouldn’t mind those full time.
