How about O'Neal donating enough money to get the new basketball arena off the ground and call it the "Shaq" dome.

BASKETBALL ARENAS SHOULD BE RECTANGULAR.

A new arena could be built where the current track stadium is and build a state of the art track stadium out by the softball stadium.

If not, LSU needs to find a way to get suites or some kind of club seating in the PMAC. Way too much money is being lost on not having suites.

However in no way should we build a tiny arena like ole miss or Auburn. Any new area needs to be over 10,000 seats.

Sjw Scotty would rather virtue signal and lose boosters and sponsors than do his job and get new facilities built

Upgrade of the practice facility is needed to compete for the best recruits.

A new practice facility was built about 10 years ago. Are you saying that facility needs to be replaced?

quote:

The $15 million LSU Basketball Practice Facility officially opened its doors (photos) on Sept. 23, 2010, culminating years of vision, planning and a groundbreaking that occurred in the summer of 2008. One of the finest facilities of its kind in the nation, the building is attached to the north side of the Pete Maravich Assembly Center and provides the Lady Tigers with state-of-the-art features.

The LSU Basketball Practice Facility was designed by Guy Hopkins Construction of Baton Rouge based on the designs by the firm of Tom Holden Architects of Baton Rouge in a joint venture with RDG Sports of Des Moines, Iowa.

Both the men's and women's teams benefit with beautiful separate full-sized practice gymnasiums. Each has two portable goals and four overhead retractable goals, both are exact replicas of the PMAC competition court. Each gym features a scoreboard, a video filming balcony and a scorer's table with video and data connection.

Each gym spans 11,324 square feet and includes a regulation NCAA court in length with two regulation high school courts in the opposition direction.

Other areas of the addition include a Media Room, Men's Basketball Locker Room, Team Lounge, Training Room, Laundry Facility, Coach's Locker Room and storage areas.

Show me pictures of the coaches offices in the practice facility. How about pictures of the basketball weight room? You know the things Wade’s been asking for since the day he set foot on campus.

Better yet play a season in the Cow Palace while they build a new PMAC. I’m pretty sure Wade would be on board with that.

"Perfect example of La. bullshite"? The New Box is 100% Skip's baby. He bragged long & loud about touring the country to get the best design out there. Every inch of it is Skip's doing.Any surprise that he cut corners to save money?

Didn’t we just build a practice facility? How does LSU always screw this kind of stuff up?

That's what I thought. I remember when the "practice facility" was the basement of the PMac and its one court.

bulldoze that ugly arse PMAC MFer and build a brand new state of the art rectangular shaped arena in its place.

The PMAC would be an ideal location for a multi-story garage to help with game day parking. The Cow Palace is the ideal location for a new arena.

I visited the new Ole Miss arena because my brother goes to school up there. Holy shite, it is literally 10x better than the PMAC. Definitely time for a new arena.

Where is Wade’s “main” office? In the Athletic Administration building? I can understand the complaints about all the time players/coaches spend walking or golf carting to the practice facility. Also, the players could use some nap pods like football where they are not having to make the trip across Nicholson to catch a 15 minute nap between practice sessions.
