Narcisse is acting emotionally. I'm sure Auburn isn't tampering either...

Lowell has always been the guy his whole career. This is new and scary. His worse case scenario: Burrow plays the next two years and he and Brennan fight it out in 2020 for the right to start for two years, looks like a distinct possibility. And if Brennan is "ahead" now, it becomes even more daunting.

Here is what Narcisse is not considering:

1. You have to assume they are redshirting Brennan this year. If Burrow goes down, Narcisse will get his shot THIS YEAR.

2. He's likely to have a package of plays to showcase his talents, even with Burrow as the starter. That may not be much and may be a smaller role than he wants, but he should not underestimate getting game experience in non-mop up time. That will set him up nicely for when Burrow leaves.

3. He's not ready. He needs to go watch the spring game again and in a critical way.

4. The path from 4 start to never heard from again often begins with a transfer. See, e.g., Ricky Town.

5. He will have an opportunity to learn playing behind Burrow. It will make both him and Burrow better to be pushing themselves. I have seen first hand how much better people can become if the job isn't promised to him.

6. If he cannot win the starting QB job at LSU, he is not going to the NFL. It's as simple as that. looking for an easier path to playing time won't change that fact.

Anyway, here's to hoping that he gets good counsel from people close to him. And here's hoping he considers the value in sticking with it and continuing to fight. Unfortunately, in the current environment, half of the highly recruited QBs transfer. It's now the norm. But go look at the list in the article. None of those transferees made it or are going to make it.

This should be the emphasis of every major talking point to these QBs.

I'd like to think they notified the staff to be excused to explore their options.
I hope so

Easy for you to say. He hasn’t played since his jr year. He is probably sick of watching. Y’all want him to do what’s best for LSU. LN wants to play now and will not follow some timeline laid out by fans.

You must mean those mean old coaches timeline , huh ? Us fans don't usually have much say so in players timelines.

Ive always thought LN would have been better served sticking with AU, they have a set system that fits him perfectly...we don’t even know what the frick our idtentity is. Even still our QB recruiting seems all over the place.

This is shocking. Unless McMillan stays he was going to get a lot of playing time this year.

If Narcisse wants to leave, its either due to Ed completely mishandling the situation

Losing Narcisee would be HORRIBLE

Why? He was a 2017 early enrollee. He has a season under his belt, 2 spring practices and 2 fall camps and didn't put himself in a position to be the starter. Some of you guys are just a little to in love with his running ability. It's a fine quality to have but I'd rather have a QB that can read defenses, process information, have a fairly strong arm, be accurate in the intermediate passing game and have leadership abilities.
