Interesting move, would think LSU gets in every year going forward. Surely will be March Madness!

Should move to 256 teams and start Valentine's Day.

It's hilarious to see this, and still see people lose their shite every time someone mentions expanding the football playoffs.

Looks like 24 is where we'll land for CFP. Which is too many, imo. 12-16 is about right. But, money talks.

Yeah.. Wade was talking about it in this clip. SEC probably getting 13 teams in every year now

Apples & oranges.. You can win with 5-8 guys in hoops.

Every participant receives a trophy, this generation are now adults running college sports.

They’re intentionally breaking college sports

What was Dale Brown's proposal? 128 or 256? I remember him saying do the first round on campus and give money to charity or something like that.

How does 76 work? Is it an eight team play in bracket? No matter how it works it’s not necessary.

Probably 3 play-in games per region.

Baseball allows 64 in the tourney. You can use 20-25 players in that easily.
I’m not advocating for more football teams. I’m just saying that a 4 seed in the baseball tourney can win the CWS. We don’t complain about the regular season not meaning much. An 11 seed can make the final four. Does that reduce the worth of a regular season. If we were doing what’s right for the “students” there would no longer be a conference championship game.

Seems like the women's tournament could be reduced to 16 teams. When is the last time a team lower than a four seed won the tournament?
ETA: apparently it has never happened. The lowest seed to win the tournament was a 3 seed. LSU being one of three teams.

64 was plenty. Adding in more and more is ridiculous.

Has absolutely nothing to do with the participation trophies.
It’s just the nature of capitalism…there always has to be MOAR. Money is the driver of everything, and people with money are like gods to be worshipped. MOAR ad revenue from Capital One and Coca-Cola and Draft Kings. MOAR March Madness games for the gamblers to lose money on.
I thought this board was heavy conservative leaning politically and loved capitalism…but lots of hate on capitalism in this thread.
