Incorrect..Before the game its the host AD or designer's call as to start time
I mean.. you’re quoting what appears to be a Google AI summary of a procedure that doesn’t really apply to postseason play. The rules are different for the NCAA tournament, and the NCAA rep does have the final say.
It’s entirely possible that LSU is pulling strings with the NCAA rep, but it’s not accurate to simply say that the home team’s AD makes the decision for tournament games. It’s more complicated than that. At a minimum, the NCAA rep has to agree to the decision.

This delay nonsense is definitely on jay however. It's out of control.
Before the game, the home and visiting teams can agree on specific guidelines and protocols related to weather delays and lightning safety.
Coaches Sabins delaying so they don't have to play in the heat. This delay nonsense is definitely on Sabins. It's out of control.

I like the 8pm start time. In fact, I prefer it.

Pretty sure their rule of thumb is that they won’t start a game without at least an hour and a half window to play.
There was no threat to that window today at any time.

Nobody saying its ok to keep bumping the game back hours is not sitting out in the hot sun and waiting for updates.....which never come. Everyone has weather radar on their phones these days and can see what the weather is really doing. This afternoon there was no rain anywhere around BR or moving in our direction. The sun was shining brightly when the last announcement came at 5:30 that the game was delayed again.....and I would say to a lot of booing. Most folks leaving said that they were not going back.....we are not.
BTW.....
In the NCAA baseball regionals, the decision to start a game is primarily made by the NCAA Regional Tournament Director in consultation with the umpire crew chief, the host institution’s athletics administration, and sometimes the NCAA game management committee.

I thought the NCAA has been making the call the last 2 weekends?

In summary, the NCAA Division I Baseball Committee makes the final decisions regarding delays and adjustments to the Super Regional game schedule, although there are standard NCAA protocols for weather delays, such as those for lightning.
Pretty easy google search for everyone wondering and debating. It ain’t Jay doing the weather delays.

I can almost guarantee the NCAA has the final say so here. LSU isn’t the one putting on the event, just hosting it. If the NCAA is the one putting it on they’re going to want the final say on something like this.

I actually am correct.

I find it hard to believe that an institution that has lost control over just about any part or any game is making these decisions. At this point all the NCAA does is make trophies.

You’re making assumptions, which is fine, I’m just providing what is stated as fact.

I can almost guarantee the NCAA has the final say so here.
The Friday night game at A&M it stormed for about 30 minutes and A&M rushed to push the game to a double header Saturday
There is zero chance that would have happened at LSU

The man has a national championship and one win away from going back to Omaha..and because it’s “inconvenient” you’re pissed and wanna raise hell. We pay this man a lot of money to run this program. If you don’t like it, find a new team. We obviously have way more competent candidates right here on TD that could do a better job and probably do it for a lot less money ??

When was the last time we didn’t play an SEC game because of weather? I can think of one school who pulled that off in 2023 and it wasn’t LSU.
