That's not true. That's a fallacy LSU fans created by conflating two separate events...the "strong arse offer" discussion and him paying the ex-girlfriend of a former VCU player out his (technically his wife's) personal funds to silence an extortion attempt.
What he did have though was a donor base he built to fund those "strong arse offers" to player. Most don't realize or remember it, but Wade did EXACTLY what Kiffin is doing now when he got the LSU job. He traveled all over building relationships with the "pockets" he knew he needed to fund his program. That's why when he was suspended by Alleva at the end of 2019 there was a revolt against Alleva, joined by multiple donors. It's what ultimately got F.King and Alleva pushed out.
Many of those same connections are still here. It's how he could go to an historically awful program in the same state and IMMEDIATELY lead it to success it had never experienced. He was connected with money people in the state.

"LSU" is just an entity. It was the PEOPLE in charge at LSU who weren't giving him the money he wanted. Those people are gone now. In not so small part because they weren't in favor of Wade.
Wade knows what Kiffin knows, what Johnson knows, what Mulkey knows, what Skip knew, what Brown knew....a HC makes his/her own "rain". It's what McMahon and Kelly wanted to "outsource". You've seen the results of that.

LSU didn’t let him coach two tourney teams and COVID cancelled one and emptied the fans of another.

Imagine the irony or cognitive dissonance, or both, of being vehemently against a coach because he was “cheating” while simultaneously being a fan of other LSU sports, or college sports in general. The other major LSU sports have ALL been cheating for decades. As have their competitors.
It’s also hysterical to see concern about a cheater “darkening our doors”…while there is a big, bronze statue of a CONVICTED FELON perched prominently in front of the football stadium. A guy who was receiving improper benefits in the 1950’s!
If cheating in college sports is so offensive then it is probably best you just stop watching…all of them. Otherwise, your “concern” is just another of the millions of examples of vapid virtue signaling. Maybe Facebook is a better forum for you

Fun fact. I have no idea how prevalent cheating is and neither do you.
Can we assume that more are cheating than are caught/revealed?
Sure.
But is it too much to ask that the coach of an SEC program at least not be caught blatantly cheating?
It certainly isn’t too much to expect that there be consequences to breaking the rules that everyone agreed to. Why even have rules if we’re going to just make excuses and give credit for “what could have been” had he not been caught, you know…cheating?
Being caught is not the fault of those who caught him, and it is in no construct of reality without consequence.
If WW couldn’t do the time, he shouldn’t have committed the crime.
LSU deserves better than a bad cheater.

Anyway, since you're an ignorant frick (or you just play one on the rant), I can tell you that I've talked to enough people over the years (who would have an INTIMATE knowledge) that I've learned that 99% of football and men's basketball elite recruits have been paid HANDSOMELY under the table for decades.

NC st is SOLIDLY in the tournament. By at least 10 spots. You sound like the posters during Wades's years at LSU that's would scream we're not gonna make the tournament after a loss when we were always solidly in.

They’re probably in still. But assuming they lose to Duke and beat Stanford, they’ll have lost 6 of last 8. If they lose their first ACC tourney game and finish losing 7 out of 9, with 12 losses overall…it’s definitely not SOLID anymore

I don't mean this to sound condescending, but you really need to educate yourself on how making the field works, and examine NC state's resume'. Even if they lost their last 3 games they're in. You do know they eliminated that last 10 game record metric about 15 years ago, right?
But hey, that would be ok. I'm all for NC state not fighting us for Wade.
