I saw Rivers throw the ball on a few occasions, he could hit receivers between the feet regularly.

Yeah. I agree. Lee just wasn't good enough.
Jordan Jefferson got thrown into the fire as a true freshman, which is earlier than Jarrett Lee. Lee didn't get thrown in until he was a redshirt freshman, but nobody uses any of these same excuses to take up for Jefferson.
Both quarterbacks were just not very good from the start.

I think redshirt is the play. I would hate to ruin another young promising QB prospect by putting him out there too early,
With his lanky arse frame he could easily carry 215 and easily get to that weight solidly by next season if he's at 195 now.
Would love the other three QBs to battle for the backup spot and get meaningful snaps this year as well.

I'd prefer both freshmen redshirt.
I think Danny will be better post surgery and this will be his team. Brennan isn't going to beat him out.
Some forget Danny was a 4star Elite 11 guy...not like he's some scrub.
I really like his toughness too.

dbonnett exactly; folks get all caught up in this height and weight thing. And when these kids get to the NFL combine and they see their true height and weight they are like............"no way man" I thought he was 200lbs.

Just saw Brennan at the Chimes. Ordered him some gravy fries with extra cheese. Should put on another pound. Tried to weigh him but he freaked out and was acting weird about it.
