Myles Brennan Weight by Freddy238 Mississippi football cant compare to Louisiana football. Brennan played terrible against a real team in Brother Martin. He needs to redshirt, SEC will eat him alive.

In all fairness, he didn't have much talent around him to help compete with Brother Martin. Do agree that it is in his best interest long term to not be the starter this year. Would like to see him get some snaps in blow out games though.

I agree, the last thing we want is to throw him to the wolves like Jarrett Lee. We are fine with Etling

Ruined Lee's career. The only way Myles would see playing time is if God forbid Etling goes down!

Yeah I don't think Brennan will see a meaningful snap this year and if he does we are most likely in trouble.

If Brennan sees PT this year then he must be a stud. Otherwise no way they play him over McMillan or Scott.

It's that time of year.
Last year at this time we got reports Lindsey Scott had grown from 5' 10" to 6'1" during the summer.

Or it could mean that Mcmillian and Scott will never be starting SEC material. Either way it means Etling got hurt or flamed out which would most likely indicate a long season.

Just hope he gets a fair shake unlike Stephen rivers and many others when LESS played favorites!!

Which was proven by the way he lit it up after he left LSU?

It has been my experience that coaches "play favorites" toward guys that give a better chance of winning.
But I could be wrong given the post-LSU performance of Rivers.

Stephen Rivers was horrendous. There's a reason he never played meaningful snaps at LSU and struggled mightily at Vandy.

The whole season depends on him getting to 205 by the start

most ignorant comment of the offseason right here folks.

so the ENTIRE SEASON depends on the weight of our back up qb. i'll keep that in mind.

well, if he gains to 203, would that get the team to the Indy Bowl?

I think most would agree on this, and the ones that don't are delusional.

Of course there would be some growing pains if Brennan ended up having to take meaningful snaps this season. However, it's not like Etling and his noodle arm will be taking us to the promised land either.

That's all well and good but the real question is how are his calves doing?
