quote:uh, the head coach is responsible for ALL aspects of the program. So yes, the head coach is absolutely responsible for the QB's play, even though that's not his direct day-to-day responsibility, but the HC is responsible for hiring the OC and perhaps a QB coach, and for setting the overall strategic vision and direction of the offense and defense.
Morons are so desperate to do that they will even insinuate that the head coach whose specialty is defensive line is now mentoring LSU's quarterbacks.
It's like the CEO of a company - he's responsible for everything.

HS stats are meaningless really.

Well I’ve had a thing for Cindy Crawford for a quarter of a century. Do I deserve a shot at her? Screw that. We want to win games. May the best man win.

Compare Myles or any QB with...let's say JJ? Also, WTF does high school stats have anything to do with LSU football? News flash, kids receiving scholarships from top 25 programs were studs in HS. But stats in HS don't me sh@t now. Dumb fn post

Burreaux looks like he could absorb a blow or two without being put in the hospital.

I prefer a guy that ready to take the reigns with confidence in his abilities and the players belief in he is the guy to lead.

But do you really think the HC, a lifelong DL specialist at that has any input in the technique training of a new QB.
Who in the frick has ever said O coaches the QBs? Just please explain why you people are so intent on being dumbasses

Burrow will be our starter if he comes here. Hope he realizes that!!

Brennan will be a star one day, just not sure he ready for prime time this year. They are the same player except that burrow is more physically ready for the brutality of the sec

O may not coach the QBs but he definitely says who plays when and who doesn’t. Just ask Canada and Ensminger who they wanted to play and when!

He's had 3 fulls years in a college program being tutored by one of the best in the business.
Brennan has had 1 full year being tutored by O. Which one do you think will be better come September?
Orgeron doesn't work with QB's but Urban Meyer does. JT Barrett had 5 years of Urban's "tutoring". Remind me which team drafted him.

I’m pro-Brennan, but he’s not ready. Period. I’m confident that he and Narcisse are gonna be very good—they’d benefit greatly from another year to add weight and develop—but adding a guy who’s farther along is ideal for the team.
If Burrow comes to LSU, I think he’ll be the starter this year, but it’s very possible that Brennan and/or Narcisse would have every opportunity to beat him out next year (maybe even this year, if the light comes on for them mid-season).

Read the posts above. SOme think O "mentors" the QBs or has input into their development.
He knows next to nothing about QB technique and progressions from a QB perspective. Yet some still post that its on him. Yes he is the CEO of the organization and it all falls on him ultimately. But unlike a Harbaugh, or Meyer, who have coached and/or played QB and who are heavily involved in continuing to develop their QBs, Orgeron DOES NOT directly coach the LSU quarterbacks about their technique.

Does anyone have Burrow’s stats while playing at OSU?
Posted on 5/20/18 at 12:36 pm to LSURep864
After the highlights I have seen, I would definitely say he is pro style with an ability to run. Just because you can run, doesn't automatically make you a dual threat. Quarterbacks have to be far more athletic than they have been because of the speed of the defenses, but he looks to be a drop back passer, which would make him pro style.
I would even say that of the 3 quarterbacks at OSU, he is probably the best fit for our offense, where Haskins and Martell are probably the better fit for their offense.

Not sure about Burrow's competition but Brennan did play awful competition mostly
Anyone from the MS coast can vouch for this. I’m 7 years removed from high school, and when i was playing St. Stanislaus, they were a 3A school. Their competition in the 3A ranks were not very challenging, really undersized teams.

It's really this simple. All of you middle school girls ranking your favorites don't matter a lick. And I don't care which one is better.
