I did not go this time but I have been there before. The thing that struck me was how quiet the campus was before the game. People seemed shocked when a truck drove by playing the Aggie fight song.

The place was very clean and the people were extremely friendly to us. But it was calm and quiet.

A few things stood out to me. I never heard their band play anything. Being in the endzone, thought it was super weird I just didnt hear their band at all. Lots of piped in music made it seem much louder than it was,
So, they're even doing that shite at A&M now? There's something wrong somewhere with all this BS.

They definitely had a very good crowd there for a 4-7 team going into the game. Their paid attendance was 93,500, so it wasn't exactly full with a 102,700 seat capacity, but it was still a good crowd with all things considered.

Hilarious you think half of those people didn’t come from Dallas or Houston. And yeah, soooo much more to do in the sprawling metropolis of BR huh?

No, it’s because LSU fans are spoiled, entitled, and ungrateful

Upper deck of student section was not full. Corners of upper levels of new end zone were definitely not full. That said, it’s better than what a 4-7 LSU team would have had show up.

To add to OP:

Pregame scene may have been one of the worst I’ve been at. I’ve seen it much better at aTm games past, so I assume you can chalk that up to poor record as well.

Packed house and they support their program. Can’t hate on that. I was also at the game

It wasn’t “packed,” but they had a good crowd.

As for those saying LSU fans wouldn’t have been at Tiger Stadium in similar circumstances, last year was a good crowd, and we were 5-6 going in.

Last week they played in front of a handful of people against UMASS.

This week was their bowl game. Them showing up wasn’t surprising to me.

No he isn’t.

Did they cheer, yes.

Did they have a good crowd - yes.

Loud as frick? Please.

Without the piped in music, thaw it atmosphere is lame as frick. Waaaaay overrated.

As for the campus / stadium, it feels like an outdoor mall. It’s nice, but underwhelming.

We can all agree on this. We are absolutely spoiled. This season coming after the past two down years really made it worse than Saturday night it reminded me of how spoiled we truly are.

Hell, it’s not a bad thing IMO. Sorry we aren’t used to losing. Thanks a lot Saban

Most of the Aggie fans I met were nice. But the tailgating was boring. What really seems odd, was the pregame video about something or other that held their attention for about 5 minutes. Not a sound from the crowd. Like they were listening to Jim Jones or something. Anyway, not bad, just strange.

If LSU was 4-7 Tiger Stadium would have been boring too.

I didn’t find their fans to be welcoming at all. They weren’t mean, but definitely not engaging. Tailgating was lackluster, so we spent most our time at The Dixie Chicken. Kyle Field is nice, but has too much of a corporate feel to it. Stadium was loud because of the music, not necessarily the fans. I find it odd that the students are spread out among multiple areas, but a 30k seat allotment is a lot. Their continued obsession with UT is something else. Constant videos of past games and every time the students were on, “horns down” gestures were abundant. People you’re playing LSU, the time will come for that when UT joins the conference.

I will give them credit for 2 things ….. the spacing between rows was awesome, easily allowing people to pass…….and their sound system totally blows LSU’s away.

We had a great time. Crowd Wasn't loud in the north uppers but we moved to Southern lowers in 3rd (near Tiger Band) and it was much louder.
One observation my son and I had was the music.

The very loud bubble gum EDM music was my jam. My son not so much. He mentioned it again yesterday on way home how they never played a single hip hop song. Was all EDM with some occasional popular old rock and country.

Example of music they played all night. They played a solid 30 seconds of this song during a TV break in the 4th quarter. I'm a raging faq and love this song but my 3 teenagers all made fun of me for it.
Cascada - Every Time We Touch

Eta: we bought a couple of the 74-72 cups. That and playing Callin Baton Rouge in the last two minutes was a nice Petty Touch.

You must not have driven home to Houston after the game.

Yes, getting off campus wasn't bad at all... after that, not so good.

The stadium is pretty damn nice. The drive in is also very pretty. We went through the Sam Houston National Forest on the way in and then went to Houston on the way home.

They have cup holders about the urinals. Very nice

They also have free refill machines all over the stadium, so you don't have to wait in line to refill your drink.

The vibe is weird, but they embrace that. They were very excited about beating us for sure. I did run into a really drunk wanna be frat boy that was very excited about beating us and wanted to fight. His mom grabbed him and saved him. Most of the fans were very happy to beat us, but they were pretty friendly overall. We did have one old man that was mad because we didn't "respect their traditions." I don't know what he meant by that.

We met some real nice fans Friday at Dixie Chicken, and we went to their tailgate Saturday. The Northgate area is a lot of fun. The tailgating leaves a lot to be desired. I don't know if it was a combination of bad weather and/or the losing record that affected the tailgating or they just don't know how to
