She did the right thing in not elaborating on it. Was a Coach's decision and keep it between her and Reese. Perfectly handled.

That is not even the same thing. As mentioned by the other 4 posters, neither Crews nor Burrow chased the other teams best player around the court or field and did that in their face.

You are right, burrow ran over to someone who wasnt even on the field and got in their face.

Show me when Burrow and/or Crews walked up to an opposing player and put his hand in front of the players face and pointed at the ring

Burrow counted off TD directly in Vandy players' faces, which is like mocking special needs kids.

FWIW I have no problem with that, just like I have no problem with what Reese did.

If Mulkey can get though this season without internal drama, it will be miraculous. Love our players. It's just that you have around 6 players for that would be #1's on the vast majority of other teams.

You have numerous returnee's that sort of feel entitled (rightly so to some degree) who aren't the best player (or 3rd best or 6th best player) on the team anymore.

Navigating this, while keeping this team (the best LSU has ever had) together is going to be tricky. The difficulty is compounded by the risk that real dollars are at stake. If my star fades, my income recedes.

For instance, I think Reese was the best player on last year's team. This year, I think she's #4 or 5.

But Mulkey is the right coach for this.

So when Burrow wore a Big Dick Joe hat, arrogance or confidence?

You do realize that a fan had given Burrow the hat after the Natty game, huh?

This.

She made a name for herself under the basket/crashing the boards and needs to realize that’s what it going to help get her to the next level.

Folks are reading way too much into this like Poole didn't play at all. The first guard off the bench all year. It wasn't just Angel. I guarantee if you it was a benching because of attitude, selfishness or anything of the like, Angel wouldn't be still cheering and hugging her teammates like she was yesterday. That's when selfish players pout! Let it go!

I've seen this type comment a lot recently. What I don't think most of us appreciate is that for WBB, the college game is the highest level of earning capacity a woman playing basketball has. There is a next level... but she will earn 1/10th of what she can earn in college with NIL.

That's why I think there is 0% chance any of these ladies leave early. They may transfer. But, leaving early potentially leaves millions of dollars on the table.

This makes assuaging egos even more challenging for Mulkey.

Burrow and Crews were the best players and most decorated in their respective sports. Heisman and golden spikes winners.

Alexis morris was the engine that made last year’s team run, and makayla Williams is the best player in this years team. If either of them would do it, fine.
I think most people’s issue was that Reese was not the best player, but was taunting the best player in the country who scored double on her.

The last thing I am worried about is Kim Mulkey losing a war of wills with her team. She held Britney Griner in check for four years at Baylor. Mulkey has an iron will, consequences be damned

How many times does it need to be posted that Burrow did chase someone down on the field to taunt them? No one cared then, as they shouldn't have.

He ABSOLUTELY DID NOT DO THAT RING THING IN A PLAYERS FACE.

When he did say something on the sideline that was retaliation.

Clark neither did or say a damn thing to her and it was AFTER THE DAMN GAME ON THE RING.
The you can’t see me and calling her a ho was during the game. Inexcusable.

This board loved the shite out of it when Jared Jones FYMF'd the UK pitcher and when Bryce Jordan flipped off the Texas pitcher.

I ABSOLUTELY HATED THAT.

It was a runaway game and she already knows what Angel can do so maybe she just wanted to give the others a look

Reading these comments show what fools some of you are.

Bay Tiger, Angel was 100% the best player on last years team.

And GGOZWM, please name the 3 or 4 better players on this year’s team better than Reese?

Are you just refusing to look at the gifs that are in this thread showing Burrow going onto the Vandy sideline? Not sure if you're ignorant, willfully blind, or just trolling at this point.

I didn’t see the gifs where either Burrow or Crews did “the ring thing” to an opposing player. The only gif I saw was of Burrow responding to trash talk from the Vandy sideline. In that response, he didn’t do “that ring thing”. Again, my post clearly and specifically was in response to “that ring thing”.

Angel Reece wasn’t responding to another players trash talk and she wasn’t celebrating with her teammates. She was trying to taunt a player after they had lost the game and, much more importantly, do it in a classless way.

Again, I generally like Angel Reece as a player, but her actions were trashy. I was hoping she matured and learned a lesson. It appears she hasn’t. Maybe sitting on the bench will help give her an attitude adjustment.
