Problem will be solved with playoff expansion
I can see us getting in with 2 losses on a regular basis

If Caleb Williams is gone, we have a great chance next year. If not, it’ll be a dog fight

I'd settle for one.

As long as our 'Mensa' scheduling guru V. Ausberry is in charge of screwing up scheduling...I have little/no faith in LSU having ANY scheduling 'advantages' !

The schedules have not seemed that bad to me, TBH. LSU has just played badly in week 1. Unfortunately, we look to be contractually obligated to play P5 teams in the next few years.

WHO on earth f$%^* up TWICE in a row regarding week zero games...

One of those two was a last-minute change by the other team. The other maybe could have been countered but it is difficult, we would have had to cancel a game and find someone who played outside of the continental US and haven't scheduled a week 0 game already.

You guys act like it is simple and anyone can do it at any time.

I disagree. By playing a tough opponent you get to see where you are, and give your team a reality check.

Well, then schedule them the 2nd week.

It's always better to work out the kinks, and see what you have. For example- Lacy. Those weren't pass breakups, those were drops. They would have happened against Grambling (I think he did drop some).
Also, against Grambling we continued to se Perkins was a non-factor if you put him at MLB.

It's better to figure things like that out against a team you're torching, than against a team capable of beating you in a crucial moment.

Are you kidding ? Games are nothing but CONTRACTS...you INCLUDE things/clauses in CONTRACTS that assure one team does not try to gain an obvious advantage over another ! Scheduling a week zero game AFTER a contract is signed for a week ONE game...IS gaining an advantage ! Verge hopefully has learned a lesson i.e. let the experienced/intelligent/competent ADULTS, handle the contract details !
Similar negative outcome for the SEC is the muffed TV contract with ESPN ! HOW did the B10 get 'escalator' clauses included [for adding big name programs] and Slive and ALL of the SEC king-pins did NOT ????

There's a real possibility Caleb Williams can come back to USC due to the millions in NIL endorsements being promised if he stays too. Depends on how much he wants to stay for the college experience and still make millions.

I can't wait for this game personally but 4 in a row losses for OOC starting the season for LSU is unbearable. If they can only win one it needs to be USC because I can't stand that university. LSU use to be unbeatable out of conference. We are everyone's bitch lately.

Alabama and Texas A&M scheduled week 1 cupcakes and lost in week 2. Stop being a pussy and play a man’s schedule.

No. F$&k what everyone else is doing. The new playoff gets 12 teams. We should NEVER play FCS teams. We should never play G5 teams that aren’t in-state rivals. We should be playing the best of the best because with a 12 team tournament, you can get in with 2 or 3 losses so long as your strength of schedule is strong. To be the best, we have to beat the best.

Do you have any idea what is required to AVERAGE 60 posts PER DAY for 19.5 years straight? Almost 409,000 posts. Think about that for a moment. If TD.com didn't exist he'd be a bum on the sidewalk mumbling to himself all day.

Losing game 1 seems to be a pretty good formula for getting this team focused.

With a 12 team playoff, losing game 1 won't be nearly as bad

There are very strict restrictions on scheduling week zero games related to Hawaii and international travel, you can’t just schedule one when you feel like it
