that's a lot higher of a chance than having one ready by December. i mean did you read my link that Moderna won't even have enough humans to test their vaccine for the 3rd phase trial until sometime in September (optimistically)? you think they can complete a trial, crunch the numbers, and get whatever government approval exists now in 2.5-ish months?

let me put it another way, would you think that vaccine is even safe? we're talking about a type of vaccine we have never before used on humans without real science behind it and no oversight

honestly i don't even think it's a debate. it's clearly just another carrot to take away some more societal glue while trying to give just enough hope to avoid social unrest/chaos. the logistics of football in January-April are just impossible, even if we could get the virus under control (which we won't have done by January)
