Can't help but wonder where Mestepay would rank had he stayed healthy. Until Nola came along I'm not sure there's ever been a pitcher at LSU who was that "automatic".

leaving Cresse out was hard

I like that one.

In reality, Walker, Furniss and McDonald are locks and there are about 10-15 players you could make some argument for the 4th spot.

I really do think Skip letting Mestepey going the distance against Tulane in the Supers ruined him.

He threw at least 140 pitches.

Come on now way could you let out what Coleman, Nola, Raunado accomplished

This is harder than people expected because in LSU baseball outside of Walker and Furniss you could put anyone

Think most of us agree about McDonald, Walker and Furniss. The fourth is going to differ on most people's list. A lot has to do with how long you've followed baseball. I started watching LSU baseball in the mid 80's. So people my age may differ on fourth than someone who started ten years ago. What's great is we have so many great players to choose from Belle to Greene to Ogea and Osik to Russ Johnson to Hill and Cresse to the Nola brothers and Dean to Bergman and all the players in between. We've been blessed with some great players

He went 10 innings which wasn't the distance and Mestepey was even better the next season in 2002.

Does Kramer qualify since his head is the size of a real Mt Rushmore president?

McDonald, Walker, Furniss, & Nola

Warren Morris will be on the Iwo Jima statue.

Mikie Mahtook, Mike Miley, Scott Schultz, Jon Zeringue, Lane Mestepey, Jason Williams and Paul Byrd on state quarters

Russ Johnson - $1 bill

Trey McClure - $2 bill

Brad Cresse - $5 bill

Alex Bregman - $10 bill

Joey Belle - $20 bill

Nola is criminally underrated. He is on his way to being a number 1 starter in the MLB, and these are his career numbers at LSU: 2.09 ERA----30-6 W/L-------345 SO----------------52 BB------------0.8795 WHIP A 0.8795 WHIP is fricking unreal

Agreed. Probably the most consistently dominant pitcher I have ever gotten the chance to see.

So does this guy, but he's disqualified because he'd take up the whole mountain.

Low key brag. I caught Nola many times. Still do when he comes in for off season.

Dude is an absolute freak of nature when it comes to pitcher.

Jason Williams was so good and underrated and the consummate team player. He was almost as good as furniss but of the same mold.
