Walker, Furniss, McDonald, and a spot left open for a man who is liable to become our all-time wins leader, and if he pitches us to #7, Jared Poche.

On the Mountain:

Walker - At his best at the most crucial times
McDonald -Golden Spikes, No. 1 pick
Furniss - Steady Eddy,103 RBIs single season
Belle - Skip says he was the best. Saw him hit an oppo in the Superdome (against Miami) that had Florida State team hooting and hollering, including Deion Sanders

My personal favorite players:

Armando Rios - BIG attitude. Tough, and clutch
Brandon Larson -greatest single season in LSU history
Brad Hawpe - Hit huge home runs in CWS in the clutch
Gary Hymel - Gorilla ball and toughness personified

Mike Koerner - honorable mention. Came up huge in 1997 CWS

I've actually umpired some baseball games for Todd Walker a couple of years ago. His son plays USSSA and I umpired a game when he coached at Calvary Baptist. He's a really nice and respectable. Just an overall good guy

You seem to think that baseball at LSU started in the 1980 year. There were many, many outstanding players from the earlier years, Alvin Dark, Joe Adcock.
Do you think the gates only opened then when Bertman arrived?

Then pick your 4 and make an argument for those over Bertman guys.

I bet you can't.

Ben McDonald
Todd Walker
Eddie Furniss

Those 3 are locks and should be on everyone's list.

The 4th person is left up to interpretation and personal preference... Me personally, I am going with Aaron Nola... I believe he is the most dominant pitcher LSU has ever had.

Agreed, but his case is hurt for playing just one season

Lincoln is on the real mount Rushmore. He didn't exactly serve 8 years in office.

That is a God awful analogy. He was on his second term when Booth got him.
