His was that Bama had the most on active opening week roster and it was only 2 ore than LSU

Just like any gump, cherry picking stats. This list includes all players including practice squad, IR, etc

Active Roster is also only 45 players if I am not mistaken. There are still 8 players on the final 53 that are on the team but not active. Yes, IR'ed players hurt too. LSU had Ware who is on IR. 2 LSU players are Randle and Ware that are out.

He was just throwing the hook out for you. Reeled you right in too.

Most Players On NFL Rosters By School (LSU #1)

Can we have them all back for just 1 year?!?! I don't feel like that's too much to ask. Someone make it happen.

damn how does Florida have so much and not win the east every year?

Because number of players in the NFL doesn't determine most talent. Bama has had far more talent then LSU over the last ten years. 50 players only represents about one fifth of the overall players. How do we stack up with the other 250? It's been d pth along the defensive line and quality of the offensive line that separated Bama from LSU.

Florida is the same. If you take the top 10 guys on Florida's team they probably equal Bama. But there it ends.

I get what youre saying but uf plays in the east. they should be winning that division more often with that talent in the east.

bama has far more depth than lsu too.

our 1s match up ok with bama's 1s.
but the gap between our 2's and Bama's 2 are far bigger.

the gap between Bama's 1s and 2s is far smaller than our gap from 1's and 2'.

but I agree they have had the better line play.

Right, like 6 dbs and 4 wrs were all on the same team. That doesn't win you championships. The trenches do.

3 highly rated dlinemen off the top of my head didn't make it ling in the NFL. Chris Davenport and Anthony Johnson were both 5 stars. Sam Montgomery was a 4 star and was a star at LSU. Couldn't make a team.

Not a soul was developed by Brick Haley. Hell even NFL coaches have claimed as much.

Bama has a ridiculously huge talent advantage and one of the best college coaches of all time. They should basically always win. The gap between Bama and #2 in talent is like the gap between #2 and #10. It is absurd. That is why Les's recent comments about going right at Bama was so hilarious. The only way to beat Bama is to outcoach Saban. You can't beat him with talent.

It is funny though that Bama gets the recruiting boost from "the NFL factory" theme which adds to their incredible depth when other teams also get players to the NFL at a very high rate.

You can't exactly not credit Les at least a little bit for a lot of those players in the league though...

Yea with all of his attacking teams strengths to make them 'bend' how can you not credit the man?

Yes and it sucks that so much talent wore the purple and gold yet not even a whiff of an SEC championship since 2011.

That will always be the elephant in the room--pun intended--every time this subject is brought up.

bunch of crybabies, LSU is #1 in pro players, but, but championship. Lets blame the players for not producing when it counts, get pushed around, dropping passes and overall choke in the big moment. No different than what OBJ did dropping an easy pass, 2 LSU defensive guys in ATL, etc...LSU gave Bama good games in B.R. every year, even when Bama won he natty. Took them to the 4th quarter and only lost by 10 with an interim HC

Well the LSU OL has definitely been overmatched for a long time against the Bama DL. The way they have been thoroughly dismantled makes me think their was a large talent difference, but maybe you were right that some coaching could fix it.

I think that Bama's DL and LBs are so deep and talented there has been a very large gap in talent between them and their opponents. I do think that their front seven doesn't play up to their potential every game and plays much harder against LSU than normal. It is after the bye week also.
