I might add the last TD to Chase against Florida. It had been a back and forth game the whole time. We got a stop then Burrow buried them with one of the most well placed deep balls you’ll ever see. Ja’Marr didn’t have to slow down one bit and indeed he threw it just slightly past him to allow him to accelerate right to the end zone. Spectacular play.

Both were key drives during the course of the season. That late touchdown v Texas once and for all cast out the Spirit of St. Miles from the LSU football program. Throwing a 60 yard touchdown pass with a touchdown lead on 3rd-and-18 was the most un-Miles thing possible at that point in time.

That first touchdown drive v Alabama was YUGE not only for its virtuosic execution, but also for its symbolism: those were the first points scored by an Emzinger-led offense against Alabama in LSU history, and opened the floodgates for an evening full of LSU touchdowns.

Watch those two back-to-back reminds me how much awful Danielson is.

ETA not that I needed any reminding. And how thankful I am that CBS didn’t pick up the last 2 games.

I watched the highlights yesterday and was struck at how pained GD seemed about the first half of the Bama game.

He was almost speechless at the last TD of the half. I'm so tired of him.

I think Bama for much of the reasons others have noted.

I’d also like to point out how impressive the TD right before half on Bama was as well. We get the ball with like 11 seconds or something like that after the pick and Burrow puts a dagger in their heart on the first play.

im going with both. the TD pass to Jefferson against UT and the first pass to Chase against Bama would be considered elite throws in the NFL

That move Chase made on the TD pass at Bama was beautiful

Assuming Jefferson goes pro, who will be in the slot next year.

Trey Palmer probably unless one of the new guys comes in and blows the doors off

Can we keep him for one more year please? Just imagine if he somehow came here as a sophomore and not as a junior....oh well. Let's enjoy it while we can.

He'll be a slot receiver, but I seriously doubt he starts as a freshman over more experienced guys.

That was the exact moment the Bama game thread went from L-S-who to we're in over our heads.

The Tigers have definitely entertained America this season.

I was talking with a good friend that lives in the salt lake area. he said more friends of his are watching college football out his way because 1) lsu is so damn exciting and 2) bama lost (bama fatigue is real)
