Bama 08 in Nick's return to Tiger Stadium was in-fkn-sane. We walked from Tigerland to Tiger Stadium and there was a mass of people. We could only go as fast as the people in front of us. There was no wiggle room.

In 2007 you could come and go as you pleased, or at least as the traffic and parking conditions allowed. In 2018 you needed a $40.00 parking pass just to drive on campus.

I love threads like this. It makes me feel sad that tailgating isn’t quite on the level it used to be. It really used to be pretty crazy just about every home game. I’m grateful though that I got to be apart of that period of time. It was also extra exciting because pre Saban we were bad for so long. I’m not sure how much of the change is parking passes, spoiled fanbase, cell phones and big screen TVs, etc.

I know this won’t happen (at least anytime soon) but I so wish that LSU would make an effort pack TS as often as possible. However it is they would accomplish that…. $5 tix, free parking, etc. Even if they took some kind of loss, that would be so cool we were the only ones who still packed our stadium every Saturday.

2018 Georgia and it's not really close. Yes I remember 07 Florida and 2018 Bama.

While I disagree with the fact more people were on campus for the Georgia game than the other two listed here, I do see why this might could have a legit argument in being top 5 of this list.

Georgia brought more fans to this game than I've EVER seen an away team bring to Tiger Stadium

Florida 2007. That is also the game I consider to be Tiger Stadium at its peak.

The cauldron of noise that kept rising after they announced the usc vs Stanford game was something I’ve never seen. It delayed compared to a big play but it was deafening.

TN 2005 after Katrina was nuts. People everywhere. Took 3 hours to get from campus across the bridge headed back to CENLA. Also the hottest game that went into night ever. It was over 100 at dark

I happened to be at both the Bama 17 and Florida 07 games and both were incredibly crowded on campus

It’s hard to really assess the crowds because I was in different spots for each game.

They were both insane though

'07 Florida, and '01 Auburn are up there. I still think the '01 Auburn game was the most energetic I've seen the fanbase at tailgates. A win guaranteed us the SEC West so it was a huge deal.
