I wonder if the meeting took place in SW's office and if he taped the conversation.

Y’all can’t be serious.

The only way this would constitute “cause” is if there’s some underlying scandal. Woodward isn’t getting out of the buyout over a football decision in the middle of the season.

That’s not what the articles says lol

Not directly. But it does say that when Woodward wanted him to fire Sloan Brian pushed for other changes. It does insinuate that he wanted to keep Sloan and sacrifice others.

No, it insinuated Kelly wanted to fire not only Sloan, but others

Or..hear me out...it was mutual parting ways and they wanted to have some fantastic narrative to put out there for theater lol. Kelly saves face (not really) and LSU gets rid of him. Win win!

Hello, somebody better post that video of the standoff. You got my mind thinking how interesting it would be to actually one day be able to see a video of coaches getting fired.

Insubordination in my book

This is just ridiculous. It’s not insubordination. Some of you are just such simpletons. He’s the coach and he’s allowed to have his opinions. Irs not the Army. Kelly saw an opportunity to get his buyout and pushed it.

This was Fat Woody going in hot after taking heat from donors, boosters, the governor, etc.. they should have had this talk on Monday after they both weren’t so heated about the loss and have the conversation with cooler heads. They both drove the car off the cliff.

oes he agree to take say $45 M payed out over the next 3 years.

Why would Woodward want to protect Brad Davis? Clearly he understands how poorly the Oline has played the last two years…

And don’t forget he was Texas A&M’s AD when they hired Fisher and got him a 10 year deal!

Jimbo's 10 year guaranteed extension was not offered/signed by Woodward. It was by his successor. It was offered because they thought Woodward would hire Jimbo here, at LSU.

It was Frank Wilson he wanted to fire along with Brad Davis is my opinion.
He felt like the running game wasn't up to par for the SEC and neither was the Oline and wanted to fire both

The two guys that could serve as interim coaches if he were cut loose. Checks out.

Or there’s been enough proof in the pudding the past 4 years that gave Woody no confidence in Kelly’s ability to evaluate talent. You’ve been through 2 coordinators at this point, with a lame duck 3rd…why should Kelly be listened to?!?!?

Sloan being fired would’ve solved about 3% of the problem with this progrum.

Can't let this go by.
Sloan is responsible IMO for about 50% of the problems cause he can't call a 3rd or 4th down play for shite. He has kept Nuss in the pocket all year until Saturday when he moved the pocket twice, I beleive. I was so amazed I dropped my drink and had to go clean up in rest room so I might have missed the 2nd time.
Any good OC knows if you can't keep a clean pocket you have to move your QB a bit. Doesn't have to roll out fully although that should be part of the package. Just move his one way or the other behind the T-TE depending on the defense alignment.

Because Brad Davis is the weak link in Sloan’s offense. Kelly knew it and knew Sloan probably wanted someone of his choice.
