And there are one in your quote, too.

Good thing he's not trying to sell his message board post.

Not all ULL fans hate LSU so stop generalizing the entire fan base and residents of Lafayette for that matter.... for those of you doing so.

Just b/c it was 1AA doesn't mean it didn't happen. How many did Tech win in 1AA? If it wasn't for womens basketball and the "God Particle" people wouldn't even know about Tech.

I was answering the question you asked. You didn't give a timeframe.

And saying their relevance was only due to being in 1AA is invalid for two reason. That was Tech's first year in 1A. Previous to 1987, Tech and ULM were both 1AA.
Second, in 1987 ULM beat LaTech 44-7. 1AA over 1A.

I'm not a ULM or Tech fan but to make Tech out to be a world beater b/c they went to a few bowl games is crazy. Tech played a great game against TCU but a loss is a loss. I know it was a close one but it's not like Tech went home with half of the trophy. Hell, next to LSU and Tulane the next in line as far as recognition goes is Grambling IMO.

So much mad in here.

You know a thread has gone from zero to mad when an Arkansas Tech fan starts throwing bombs at ULM.

There's probably a shirt like that in just about every state with one dominant large program. I've heard that saying for Tulane, AU & Bama, etc.

Actually those people hate UL because they didn't go to college. Why would they pull for a Sun Belt school with no ties there when they can pull for LSU, Yankees, Duke, etc?

ULL is like the flea floating on his back, demonstrating his maleness in full passion, screaming "OPEN THE DRAWBRIDGE!!!!!!!"

If you see someone wearing a UL shirt they probably got their arse beat by LSU 45-3 and changed their school name about 8 different times

Once again 1987. Tech won the WAC championship in football, made it to the championship game in basketball with a very young team, and made it to te semi finals in baseball. The idiot who said ULM is on par with tech is exactly that, an idiot.

Tech is going to thump A&M on national tv and continue to increase our awareness as we make a conference upgrade to CUSA

I will throw this out there. McNeese is more respectable in football than UL@L. Remember when the cowboys blew the cajuns out in cajun field a few years ago? I spotted this guy for UL@L 17 points and McNeese wiped the floor with them by 21 points.

When the Cajun fans don't make a bowl game next year they will want the coach fired. Now they believe they can play with anyone. So delusional

What's even more funny is when someone tries to correct another's grammar, and the grammar is in fact correct in the first place. If you are talking about the use of a and an, the usage is correct. Incredible, an idiot trying to correct someone else's grammar.

The only reason Tech won the WAC is b/c Boise St. was gone. Everything else is like kissing your sister. Hell I could pull up all kids of runner-ups for ULM. I didn't say ULM was on par but it's not like Tech blows them out of the water. Give me the accomplishments in Tech men's sports in the past 25 years that puts them above ULM.

I almost forgot about the 22 national championships in water skiing.

Highly doubtful any true fan would want HUD fired. HUD has done and continues to do a lot for the football team and the university. Again just like every other school we have our unrealistic fans. I myself have hope that one day UL, I know some people are going to flip out because I said UL, will be a legit contender for higher paying bowl games. Right now they are taking the right steps to attain that status but it isn't an overnight process.

As for the guy who wore that shirt, I wouldn't consider him to be an actual UL fan. Most of us don't care what lsu does, nor do we cheer for or against them. We compete with the other schools in the state for recruits in all sports and do everything we can to be better than them in everything.
