Really surprised Vitello didn’t try to draft all our high recruits early. That way when fired in a couple years we are weaker…lol

I hope he got more confirmation than just that text bc "Mane let's do it!" Is hardly definitive

Figured. I'm hoping they'll up his NIL through what they had prepared for Sheerin.

I know there's a lot of HS talent we have to look to keep, but we have an elite core right now. I really think it'd be great to keep a strong, veteran LHP from the pen.

Agreed. I mean, Washington posting that is better than him not saying anything at all, but this is far from done. And folks in media reporting it as him “bypassing” the draft is either purposely mischaracterized or grossly negligent. These teams are not yet in position to make any of these round 17+ draftees their best numbers. Still weeks for this to shake out. If Washington has a figure, given where he’s been selected, this process has to play out before Pitt either can or can’t meet it. Multiple independent dominos have to fall first.

I've learned a few years ago not to try and predict the modern draft. There are too many variables that we just aren't privy too

Musso indicated that he had a number. Apparently none of the teams were willing to give him what he wanted.....which is great for LSU.

I don't follow the MLB draft much, but it seems like maybe it's been much more kind to LSU this year? Accurate statement?

Stringer was a late riser and didn't do much on the camp circuit

Love or hate, Blake is connected.
Nothing he said indicated he was "connected" lol he and others on twitter made assumptions based on widely known monetary indicators the signees have made in the recent weeks.

You are technically correct that they could still use it for money leverage.

Hopefully not

Anthony Murphy – Round 16 (#466, Nationals)

This is the most fascinating case.

He was ranked No. 108 by MLB Pipeline but lasted until the 16th round. That usually means clubs believed his bonus demands were high and/or that he was serious about honoring his LSU commitment.

Murphy would be one of the biggest steals if he comes to LSU.

Your thoughts??
