We sure about that?
I don’t think anyone is really sure about it, but the SEC rules say the following:
- For a Friday-Sunday series, Fri/Sat games must start by 10 PM and resume by midnight.
- For a Thurs-Sat series, Saturday games will waive all curfews in the event of a rain delay, but the game cannot start on Sunday.

I think we’re all full of shite. It stopped. Now it’s drizzling with a couple lightning strikes.

If that’s wrong please clarify

There's still some convection and lightning in the eastern part of the parish but that's moving away from the Box, still in the radius for now though. Tstms to the SW will lose their punch with that heavy round that just went through BR because that sucked the energy out of the atmosphere. It should just be some showers that fizzle after sunset from here out.

There’s no question the weather will be fine by 10 pm. Field playability will determine if they play.

quote:I agree that SEC statement is confusing as hell (big shock!), but it's my understanding the word "curfew" in it means the time limit the visiting team imposes on the home team to finish a game. It's the travel curfew where the visiting team tells the home team that its travel arrangements require no inning can start after a certain time even if there is a rain delay to start the game.

And the part about not playing on Sunday means a three game series can't be played over four days.

That’s not true. The instability and high PW’s from sfc to 600 mb will contain enough moisture for flooding potential to continue throughout the night.

Excuse me did you just question or dare I say challenge The Boat on weather related discussion?

So I got time for a drunken nap before a midnight kick off?
Posted on 3/29/25 at 7:36 pm to Meauxjeaux
I slept in today so I’m good to go all night.
or at least until the rum takes me.

I believe game must start by 10 or the series is over...if delayed must resume before midnight...
