I had no doubts about his legitimacy. He had good insider info during the recruiting season that year. Maybe all the changes are behind the scenes.

for the record, dmitch (who is legit) didn't say it would happen at the presser. He simply said news is coming soon, but not to be pissed at him if it doesn't come out.
Read between the lines and it's not dofficult to interpret.
My take: Crowton is stepping down (at least not calling any plays) and Gonzo or Miles will be calling them. We'll get a new OC at the end of the season.

my thoughts exactly, he'll step down and cite either health reasons or family trouble, etc

I said all he said already-
Basically- Big changes dealing with coaching coming soon, not sure when it will be announced.
Reading the tea leaves on my part, it sounds like Crowton will be relieved of play calling duties but that is just my speculation.
