Miles and Kelly would still be curious if adding guys is legal.

Not sure about Orgeron.

But Kiffin sees an advantage and gets in line first. Maybe it’s the entire team and they have to get the blessing of Ausbery.

But he still does it and is unapologetic. Not saying he learned all this from Saban, but Saban would do the same thing.

And in the past, we all said, “why can’t we have have a coach that is one step ahead of everyone?”

ETA to add: maybe Kiffin created the line in the first place. That’s even more ahead of the game.

Kelly is a bit*h and doesn't do anything assertive.

Considering how the Big ten jumped ahead of the SEC in NiL, it's nice to see us doing something proactive for once and getting ahead of the curve

All 3 of them would be so out of their element instead of being actionable like CLK

He was pretty assertive when he almost turned that table into splinters.

Y’all realize Kiffin isn’t the first one to do this right? It’s not like he is some mad genius and the only person that thought of this.

yes we do.

But my point is that miles and Kelly would still be scratching their head wondering how Saban got away with it.

Really? So when you said “maybe Kiffin created the line in the first place. That’s even more ahead of the game.” What were you referring to?

That possibly, Kiffin knew he was going to be waived and got in line first. He may not be the first to do this, but he might have created the line for Wright.

So I hear you. And I typed that OP w/o considering your opinion on old coaches.

But I am going to maintain that this is “a forward thinking lane K” post versus a “shitting on Kelly/Miles” post.

Seriously, those two were on my mind, so I won’t vehemently disagree with you.

But they were placed in OP for context about how we as a forum always acted like Roscoe P and Saban-Kiffin were more like Bo and Luke. IYKYK.

I think O would probably do it based on his recruiting profile.

Saban always was on the edge of the rules and for good reason. It’s not Sabans job to make the rules, it was his job to understand them and put LSU while here and Bama while there in the best position to win.

I view it the same as work, if I disagree with a states tax code it doesn’t matter, it’s my job to understand it and come up with value.

The beauty of it all is Lane and Wade are at the forefront of this new age, lawlessness NIL era. As much as people hate them right now (and I’m all about embracing being the villain for the next few seasons), they’re going to be the ones that force much needed change. The system needs to be broken completely.

Well to be fair, Alabama would literally get Alabama judges to sign off. Actual alumni. That's not sour grapes, that was true with the basketball team.
