cause Miles is a weirdo like that. Remember he signed Al Woods, 5 stars, and almost never played him. Miles is just a weird joker like that, a Mad Hatter, so to speak. Strange sense of humor. No doubt he signed Mett just for one of his wacky jokes on the fan base. Dude will prolly never see the field at LSU.

No. No he cannot.

I would have an issue with it myself, but Les Miles seems to feel that way. I am sure you too have heard his adoration.

Uh maybe my sarcasm detector is off, but the bolds have a very good chance of starting.

Your sarcasm meter is seriously f'ed up...

The seniority myth that so many morons on this board constantly post about and believe is absolutely hilarious. Anyone who believes that miles doesn't play the best player instantly labels themselves as people that you shouldn't take seriously.
agree...CLM plays the best player regardless of seniority....JJ may get the nod opening day, but Mett will start early in the season

As of now, I have no problem with this.

Your sarcasm meter is WAY off.

Rantards argue about the same thing every day, every year. Shutup already!

I can't wait to hear the comments by all of the geniuses on the rant.
"One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" comes to mind.

He also stated that Lee has a very distinct advantage over the time he's been in the system. He said that Lee throws the ball very well.
System = LSU
It does not necessarily mean the playbook or scheme.
I am not sure if some of you idiots watched the combine this year, but Newton was atrocious throwing the ball to receivers he had never worked with before. Then he goes to his Pro day with guys he knows and he lights it up. There is definitely something to be said for the chemistry that may exist between Lee/JJ and the rest of the team. Some hotshot JUCO QB coming in can potentially ruin that sort of vibe. There are plenty of examples of a talented QB getting the starting nod only to be rejected by the other 10 starters and watch the season spin out of control. With as much talent as LSU will have this year, the "safe" choice at QB may ultimately be the best choice.

Lee has had more time in Miles' offensive system than Mett.
All he said was Lee had more time in the system.
You can certainly imply that he meant the offensive system, but it is not what he said so do not be misleading. All he said was "system", and for that matter, the system is everything involved with LSU - a full SEC season, the chemistry with the players, the experience of playing in Tiger Stadium, winning an SEC football game.
Remember, Mett has not done any of those things.

He's going to let JJ an JL run the show until Mett is ready. He's not going to ruin the kid. Look at how playing JJ an JL before they were ready turned out.

Agreed. Few people on this board can see past Oregon. They cannot fathom that another season exist beyond the 2011 season, and that Miles will be under contract yet again and he must win in that year too. 2011 is not the end of it all.
Posted on 4/4/11 at 8:18 am to slackster
Exactly. Miles is doing what a good coach does in getting his bull pen ready for years to come........hard concept for some to grasp. BUT, they have no problem screaming that Les doesn't recruit the QB position properly.

I didn't even get to the 3rd post before I read some bullshite.
This myth has been debunked so many times on this board, people still use it.

That's how far I got into this thread before I just stopped reading it. Before I even opened it, I knew what it was going to be about.....

WE can watch the Univ. of Marylands offense too, and see if it improves. This should also give us some idea.
