Since he has been at LSU he has not hit the ball very well. But when he does he never gets a break.

Bad hitters usually do not get lucky. Because they are bad hitters.

He’s already got 2 very big breaks at the plate this year.

Yea, his lack of extra base hits tells you he never actually barrels the ball, so I’m not sure you could blame luck.

People treat his little flares into the OF like line drives. He almost never actually squares a ball up. Guys that hit the ball hard tend to get lucky lol

Millazzo is by no means a good hitter but he’s improved dramatically since his freshman year. Serviceable for sure

Literally heard Josh Jordan say in pregame that Neal was 5 for 5 on balls in the dirt last night lol

He does ok with balls in the dirt. It's the ones that hit him in the glove that he drops.

Johnson said Brady Neal is fine, it was the right time to switch to Milazzo anyway. They try to manage his innings per game instead of days off to keep him in there. #LS

Neal didn't throw to an uncovered 1st base. Milazzo almost did the same to 3rd, but Tanks bailed him out.

Ya well we’ll live with it.

Not sure how you raise your OBP from .500 in a game, much less an SEC game, but Neal did it today. Up to .516 on the season.

He’s really not though. He’ll hit .200 with more ABs along with a ton of strikeouts. Neal has better upside as a freshman than Milazzo ever had. Milazzo was a DECENT hitter in 5A high school ball never had power.

Right. And Had PM recruited catchers to the lsu standard, he never sees any regular playing time. He’s a late inning defensive replacement at besf

Let me try to help. You raise your OBP by, wait for it, getting on base!! Hope that helps.

I don't argue with your premise, but ultimately, you are what your record says you are.
