At best? No. He is a late inning defensive replacement at worst.

And Had PM recruited catchers to the lsu standard, he never sees any regular playing time. He’s a late inning defensive replacement at besf

Milazzo could start at most other SEC schools. He is probably the best defensive catcher in the league. mSU catcher has allowed 26 SB this year.and 43 as a team. ole Miss and Bama have 22 and 23. We have 8 in comparison. I bet those coaches would take Milazzo in a New York second.

No he couldn’t. No he isn’t. And when there’s that many stolen bases it’s almost assuredly not the sole fault of the catcher.

Well yea. The point is, to raise it from .500, you have to do better than 2:1

Millazo takes so many very hittable first and second pitches. Seems to have 0-2 or 1-2 count. Unless he’s getting the take sign he should swing at the first pitch fastball. The opponents know he’s weak batting 9th.

He’s really not though. He’ll hit .200 with more ABs along with a ton of strikeouts. Neal has better upside as a freshman than Milazzo ever had. Milazzo was a DECENT hitter in 5A high school ball never had power.

Disagree. With his improvement, being the every day starter I think he would hit better than 200. Not sure you know what serviceable means. When I say that I mean he would not be a guarantee out like he was before. Granted all this a moot point because Neal is a much better hitter and pretty close defensively so there’s not a scenario where Millazzo will past him up.
