I agree. He needs to move up because he gives you quality at bats and can produce in several ways and gives you an advantage switch hitting.

The other reason he needs to move up is because the guys before him can’t get on base and need to be down in the lineup. Pearson and Trav need to be lower in order.

Braswell
Milam
Jones
White
Pearson
Larson
Travinski
Milazzo
Bingham/Brown

Spreads out some of your baserunners, power, and contact guys.

I actually really like that order.

You realize Crews got on base for every single game last year?

He was kind of a big deal.

Not to mention a few other pieces we also lost last year.

If he moves up there, he won't see as many fastballs

It’s more important to get good at bats there. Pearson is one pitch swinging at batting .230. He’s going to see plenty of hittable pitches. This isn’t little league, these guys have hundreds of at bats tracked, they know your tendencies. He’s going to see fastballs anywhere in the lineup and certainly in front of Jones and White.

When your 5-hole hitter is batting .230 you aren’t very dynamic

It’s broke. 6 hits and you can only produce a run off a solo homer.

absolutely
Move TT down the order to 3 or 4. Maybe we can get something other than solo homers and not have such close games.

Makes sense. Pearson should be further down in order. In the past that’s where he’s produced more. Milam batting second, White, Jones, Travinski, Pearson

Milam absolutely needs as many ABs as possible. But sure leave him buried in the back

It's kind of nice to have someone in the back that can hit too. Seems like Milam is coming up in key moments late.

Maybe they wouldn’t be key moments late against mediocre teams if they could produce more runs through the meat of the game

Obviously Jay agreed but I was talking about Braswell 1, Milam 2.
