I don’t disagree but this mass exodus can’t happen every year and the team be sustainable My point is the younger guys need a chance to play 2 years in or they are gone. Play a SS that has an avg bat and below avg power that plays avg defense over kids that should have a shot to beat him out if they’re good enough and not just play him bc he transferred in and now will be a senior.

are we talking about Braswell? should we not play the guy with one of the best BA and OB% on the team so a guy with 3 AB can play SS?

Again, I like Braz and hope he continues to develop like he did this year He most likely comes back next year as I don’t expect him to garner much interest from the draft especially as a shortstop. If guys like Reaves and Fountain come in and swing the bat we need them in the lineup. I only bring up Koch bc I think he could be a guy if he gets a chance. If Braz is best we have then it is what it is.

The role as a hammer down closer/stopper is a good role.
He didn’t get a lot of innings because this team started 3-12. There isn’t a lot of spots to use your closer when you are busy losing

Meh they’re mostly professionals now, including Neal who did make some solid NIL money despite never doing shite. We don’t have to pretend most guys are here simply for their love of LSU anymore

Except he isn’t a hammer down closer. He is decent but has control issues at times that leads to his breaking ball getting crushed. I don’t think anyone thought once the ball goes to Guidry the game is over.

It will and we will add better players than the players that leave to replace them.
The players we get out of the portal are ,on average ,better than the players that leave in the portal.

Neal has two years of extensive experience and leaves with nobody else on the roster with playing time.

Wouldn’t be shocking at all if you see what TigerHeart posts. He clearly has some connection towards him, and has basically shite posted about Jay and the program for 2 years.
If Guidry shares the same thoughts, we are better without him. Those personalities don’t need to be around the program.

It's pretty sad, because you have guys like Hellmers and Nippolt giving them the example of how to be a selfless player. But some kids just weren't brought up to do it.
