Well damn! Even though I bitched and complained and referred to him in sissy terms for not getting into his cage and going to the games, this is sad news. I hope he pulls thru. Prayers to Mike! Get well big guy.

Yeah. Looks grim. But he has already outlived those in the wild.

The Louisiana State University tiger mascot, Mike VI, was born July 23, 2005, and came to LSU when he was two years old. At the time of his arrival at LSU, he weighed 320 pounds. Mike currently weighs about 420 pounds. His weight cycles throughout the year. He weighs most in the summer and least in the winter.

This sucks, I'd imagine it will likely be our last live Tiger. I can't see them successfully being able to get another with the amount of SJWs in today's world that would go apeshit.

Wonder how much it will cost for the radiation for an animal.

I really hope that is not the case.

That sucks. He was a cool tiger. Very animated and always showing off for visitors. I hope he can beat this.

We have one of arguably the best habitats for a tiger in the entire country including zoos. I think we will be fine. We don't parade them around the stadium anymore. It's basically just a zoo habitat on campus.
It's sad because this Mike enjoyed to put on shows in his habitat.

How are they going to do radiation? If they have to bring him anywhere will he get in some type of trailer? Or are there portable radiation machines (I'm definitely thinking NO)?

Cancer sucks. Hang in there, Mike.

I think the bigger question on the replacement is will @@@ing Alexander will have the courage to stand up to PETA and the SJW's about getting a replacement...
what about that poor tiger over at the truck stop as an interim replacement?

I can't imagine they wouldn't replace him ... what on Earth would they do with the habitat? That's money down the tubes. Poor Mike ... I'm all of a sudden in a not so happy mood.

If the truckstop can have one, we certainly will. Outside of maybe the San Diego Zoo, we have maybe one of the best facilities for a live tiger. I think we need to get a cub.

Fair point, the issue I see is the truck stop isnt concerned about public perception. Ol' Spinless Joe is.

The habitat is certainly second to none. I hope like hell they are able to get another, it's just how much public backlash are they willing to deal with.
