None of those require the kind of care a tiger does. Tigers are solitary predators. Notice how none of the animals you mentioned are cats.

So all of the sudden you’re a bad person if you don’t see the big deal in putting a tiger in a trailer cage for about 7 hours out of the year and parading him in front of people?

Like I said, you people have been groomed by PETA. LSU did it for years and it did not harm the previous tigers one bit.

Yes.

If you don’t think it’s wrong to mistreat an animal you’re a bad person.

Why the downvotes for getting the LSU Mascot to a home game?

If I was locked up in an enclosure for years, I would love to be paraded around and taken into Tiger Stadium.

Democrats ruin everything.

I don't know how many different ways you fools need to be told to move on.

Not saying you're stupid, but this makes you look stupid.

Come on! I don't care for how far they take things at times but this doesn't have anything to do with PETA. If you have any love for animals then you would get it and I think the majority does. Let's force a big cat in a cage and parade him around in front of 100k screaming fans

And then we can do what they did in the 90's. Park it in front of the visiting teams tunnel and taze it so it roars at them as they leave the tunnel. Pretty badass IMO

Why even use a cage? Train him to take a couple of laps on his own, then just lead him away on a leash. Doesn't matter if it's a terrible idea. It'd be cool, and that's all that matters.

Let’s be appreciative of what we have and that’s a live damn Tiger on campus. The tradition is great and I’m no PETA defendant but if it spooks the animal I’m not down forcing him for our pleasure.

Probably the same "experts" that pushed Covid, Global Warming, Electric Cars, etc.

Except the experts said the opposite as recently as 2014:

That's because he is excited to finally see something new.

It's ridiculous to not let him out every now and then. Football games are the perfect opportunity.

As an indifferent observer either way...
Would like to know from the posters who are against stressing out a 1000pd animal if they are OK with killing unborn babies and if they are how do they mentally argue that with themselves?

Yes, there is a good chance. I spoke with someone in the administration today about this. I was told from a reliable source that Mike will be allowed to roam completely free in the opponents locker room before each game and also during halftime.

They are installing cameras now in the locker room so the content of Mike roaming around the opponents locker room can be shown on LSU Gold.

Screw the cage. Take him out of the cage and let handlers walk him on the field like the Buffalo for Colorado or the horse from SMU.
