Who ever is filling in for Mike and Mike this morning just said that Ben Simmons is great to watch LSU not so much. I think I have to disagree , to me ben Simmons is hard to watch for the most part and LSU shooters are fun to watch for the most part.

The whole offense is hard to watch at times so he is partly right.

Right now, Johnny Jones and to a lesser extent, Ben Simmons, are being pounded and are acquiring a reputation that will haunt them.

It's a lot like Les and whatever star player he has at the time. Lose a big game, and the gloves come off.

I find it baffling, tbh. I agree that it was a poorly coached ending. I agree that Ben Simmons seemingly doesn't want the ball in the clutch. What I don't agree with is the premise that LSU has some kind of talent level great enough for these pundits to almost clown on the program because of a close loss to the number one team full of juniors and seniors.

In nearly the same breath, they were giving Mark Gottfried a pass at NC State for his 2-7 conference record, and bashing CJJ. That's a team that made it to the elite eight last year, beating a more well rounded LSU team in the tourney.

I feel that in the eyes of the media LSU should do more with "talent" than almost every other program.

yea its frustrating. Expectations were too high without victor and Hornsby.

Now the media sees we have a player who could be absolutely dominant but seems to be passive at times. Same knock Lebron had for first 8 or so years in leage

They're just parroting what the national narrative has become.

Neither one of them knows shite about basketball and Saturday was probably their first time tuning in to LSU basketball all season.

The Cavaliers improved by 18 wins in LeBron James rookie year (he also won Rookie of the Year) and the team finished the regular season 35–47. They failed to reach the playoffs in his rookie year. But they made the playoffs in his second season, then the next season they made it to the finals.

That certainly would have been valuable info to include in the OP.

Never mind then.

You are assuming they actually even watched the game at all.

Thank you. Thank you for reading wiki. I know this. I am referring to the passive nature LeBron had late in games. Or passing to someone open instead of taking shot himself. I'm not talking about stats. Ben Simmons has stats. Beastly ones to
