LSU won the SEC so they were a national seed. Like I said in my post.

They absolutely matter. Especially since the SEC is absolutely loaded this year. 100% were the reason we weren’t a National seed last year.

Actually that can mean they don’t, as long as LSU wins those SEC games.

This is the mentality of underachievement. Every game should matter. It becomes the attitude of the team.

Uhhh your logic is incredibly flawed. Even if this was an average year across the board for the SEC and LSU won all their SEC games/series they wouldn’t matter but that isn’t realistic.

Of course they matter. Every game matters when you're playing for postseason seeding and that seeding is determined subjectively.

You never want to allow an NCAA committee the opportunity to diminish your season and your seeding.

Then why even play them? If they truly don’t matter then quit putting us behind the eightball and schedule some high school teams or something. Teams you know you can beat and quit scheduling in state schools

Retard Matt Moscona OP. How many Nattys have we won since we started losing consistently to in state teams??
How many deep runs have we made in Omaha? only 1

Skip would lose a few mid week games, but CPM loses arse loads of them. There a correlation in how many we lose to how deep our playoff runs are.

At least 1, considering that the 2009 team won a national title.

Because Nicholls is supposed to be a team we know we can and 100% should beat

That didn’t pan out did it! We gain nothing for playing them. The only one that benefits is Nicholls. It actually hurt us

I just quoted you that LSU got to the CWS Finals in a year that LSU had their worst midweek record under Mainieri and you're gonna argue that midweek losses have an impact on our season goals?

If you don’t think that losing multiple midweek matchups against teams that won’t even make the postseason has negative effects on where we end up at the end of the regular season then you’re a goddamn idiot.
