When’s the last time we had a winning record in-state?

Only the idiots are freaking out. This team is good.

You mean the point in the tournament when we finally have to win more than 3 games in a week or go home?
And we were unable to do it.
And we were unable to do it.

This guy has been there... obviously.

I'm not understanding your point. What does that have to do with midweek losses?
Posted on 2/19/20 at 8:32 pm to RBTiger
Yes it does, it is still losing.
Posted on 2/19/20 at 8:34 pm to Lgrnwd
Well that's good to know, phew!!!!

I midweek games don’t matter but skip won them anyway.

Paul Mainieri isn't Skip.
No one is.

This has been disproven many, many times.

Someone will end up posting it again this year. It gets posted every year it seems. Skip lost his fair share of midweek games too.

This loss (if it ends up being one) only doesn’t matter if they actually learn from it. Given the history with midweek games, I’m not really optimistic that they will.

LSU didn't lose a midweek game in all of 2012 and 2013. They only lost two in 2014. Which is one of the reasons why 2014 was a national seed even though they only went 17-11-1 in the SEC.
Winning your midweek games can be the difference in just hosting a regional or getting a national seed.
If LSU wins the SEC regular season they don't matter. But if you're on the hosting bubble they certainly do matter.
Which is what everyone here who lacks critical thinking can't figure out.

My fricking favorite dumbass quote on this site.
You lose a few = they don’t matter
You lose 5 or more = it could come back and bite you.
LSU just has no competition in state to lessen a midweek loss

quote:Not really. I sat in the old Box for many midweek games which we lost when Skip was coach. Weekend games, too. Even getting swept in non-SEC weekend series.
