every p5 program is dirty to some extent.
if you thinking lsu is squeaky clean you're naive.

And our players ride to class on bicycles?
OP and others agreeing with him help make LSU fans a national joke.

If Yahoo gave a frick they would drive to Tangipahoa Parish and find out how deep that bagman culture is in ten minutes.
The Dad of the receiver from Amite that caught the winning TD in the championship game. His Dad waxes cars at the Car Wash Depot in Hammond. I am sure he makes plenty enough money to drive to Tuscaloosa every week for games.

How do you get the #1 qb in America to commit to a school with two 5 stars already cemented? Cmon, Fields could've gone anywhere.

he now waxes at one of the finer Alabama dealerships for $60/hour.

Ben Simmons family moved to BR for the three seconds he was here.
Is that a problem too?
It is if it isn't LSU, if it is LSU, not a problem

No money down, no interest for 4 years. Supposedly this loan can be offered to the general public as well.
Yep, this is an easy way to get a player a car. A dealership wanting to provide a player a car can easily manipulate the rules without doing anything wrong.
Never mind that if you happen to be an AU alum or happen to just be an intramural star that the rate of being denied based on your credit/income just, by chance, happens to be 100%. You were still eligible... just rejected for "other reasons".

Could be. Funny how UGA fans and boosters joke about it. Sometimes tongue in cheek, but many say one of the Kirby hiring stipulations was that he bring along his "bagman". I've heard it directly from their mouths. "Hell, I don't care if he cheats. I just wanna win. And that's what we're doing." I have a friend in grad school in Athens who says he's already seeing the improvement of player transportation.

I was told it was an 8 year loan with the first 4-5 years deferred. Interest is like 24% and that interest acrues during the deferment.
Is this same loan available to the public? Some of the players with these type of loans for Dodge Chargers will not get a taste of the NFL. When their college career is over, what happens to the car? They can suddenly afford a massive car payment with really high insurance?
How can they afford the car insurance as a player. An 18 yr old driving a brand new Dodge Charger must be paying a pretty penny in insurance.

Could it be that the dad is unmatched in his buffing abilities, uses only the finest chinchilla fur buffers (that we're in no way harmed in the textile making process), and uses only the finest McGuires products and that his datailing acumen landed him a job coincidentally in Tuscaloosa?

Just a few years ago, Yahoo Sports released a well-documented story that had a lot of smoke in it regarding the University of Alabama compensating players monetarily. So far, I haven't heard one peep from the NCAA or the SEC wanting to open an investigation or at least taking a look at it. Other schools may do it, but Alabama gets away with a lot, and has since the days of Bear Bryant.

Well when you have no credit in the beginning, by the time you leave Bama you will have bad credit.....

My favorite story I ever heard was from a guy I met at a sales conference (so take it with a grain of salt as to it's validity). He went to high school with Armegis Spearman. Some big money booster at Tennessee told him we would buy him a brand new car if he went to Tennessee. So he agreed to sign with Tenn if he could have the car before NSD, Armegis drove that brand new car to Oxford and signed with Ole Miss. When asked if he was worried about pissing the booster off Armegis said "Who's he gonna call"?

As the KInfish once told Andy Brown, " Andy, boy, chinchilla A meets chinchilla B, ignite a spark and produces 10 more chinchilla."

Maybe they take out student loans to pay for their automobiles? They don't have to pay for college or living expenses so they buy chargers.

Nick vs Kirby. Keep your friends close, but you enemies closer.

Well, to be fair, there aren’t any NCAA BB teams in Australia. So to play NCAA ball for one season to solidify him for the pros he was coming to some place in America no matter what. The AL OB could have stayed at home and still played in the NCAA.

All schools do it. Bama is just allowed to get away with it on a greater level than most schools.
This is true. Alabama takes it to another level. They constantly push the envelope.
