Divinity may not know it. But, he's politically conservative as frick.
yup
And, the fact that he figured this out at an early age against the grain is very impressive.
And, the fact that he was willing to stand up and say something was equally impressive. I think we are going to find out that Divinity is one of the guys running the show on this team. That level of character always rises to the top.

There are people in Appalachia’ that have been as poor for that long too. No they didn’t face the historical discrimination, but the point is if you live in a economically depressed area and are unwilling to change your life you will probably stay in poverty.
If the people in the delta moved to the Permian basin area of Texas or the North Dakota oil Feilds where they are begging for workers would they not be hired because they are black. That would be discrimination.
If there is systemic racism, why am I working next to first generation people of color making $30+ per hour.
Most white people in America attempt to judge people by their character but are labeled racist anyway. You can’t argue politics with the squad because they are women of color. Can’t call a tell a person they are breaking a rule in a grocery store with out being called out on white privilege.
Dr Thomas Sowel has some interesting books and videos talking about getting out of poverty. With a PHD in economics he has many ideas about racism in America today and breaking the cycle that could help the black community

What happened to Eric Reid? He was one of my favorite players and a good guy. Now he seems to be just another triggered SJW. SAD!

This is the new Negatiger vs Positiger.

It takes a lot for one of the most loyal fan bases to turn on its own former players, but Eric Reid is killing it. What a phony douchebag.

It's obvious ER doesn't enjoy much if any of his life. Never seems happy, always morose. Really sad place to be. On the other hand MD stock continues to rise!

Dude stands up for the average Black guy who's being wronged on an everyday basis by policeman in this country, and now he's a bad guy. LOL I don't think so! I don't agree with this comment he just made about the facility not needing an upgrade and that the money would have been better used for more scholarships, but he's entitled to his opinion. But as for as what him Kaepernick did that was totally overblown with the flag and all because they were not disrespecting the flag or military vets, I don't care what anyone says. But you look at all these comments on the internet as of late by policemen throughout this country about minorities, and how they feel towards them in wanting to go out there and crack some heads. And now you see why him and Kaepernick are or were completely justified in their actions.

Divinity just became my favorite player this year

Not sure if this has been updated, but Reid and Divinity are still going back and forth
Mike going HAM on him

quote:
Hey Michael. I’ve given 10% of my earnings since entering the league to various causes. My point is that instead of $28M to get a bed in lockers when the prior locker room was just fine, that $ could have instead been used to: 1) give folks scholarships or 2) put $ in your pocket
quote:
So your total cash earnings last year as a Panther was $1,690,000. I took 2% out for your agent even though it’s probably less. That’s like 34k there. So you still have $1,656,000 per-say. 10% of that is $165,600. Send that to LSU for classes/library instead of various reasons

Divinity is just rhetorically kicking the shite out of him.
Reid should be embarrassed but likely isn't smart enough to know he's being embarrassed

Eric Reid took a principled stand against police brutality against young black men. I think he was dead wrong to direct his protests against the US flag, representative of one of the two nations which have done the most to support the causes Reid espouses. The misconduct to which Reid objects is usually by city employees who the federal government cannot control unless they commit crimes. Often these police officers report to a black chief or mayor, and usually to democrats which are supported by 90% of the black community.
However, it is a gross mistake to say Eric Reid is a coward. Cowardice would have caused him to never stand in the firestorm of criticism he has endured. Eric Reid is a good, principled man who is misguided
It is YOU that is mistaken. Time and time again it has been proven that these claims of “brutality” are complete and utter bullshite (Michael Brown for example). If Reid was a “principled man” he would not be further perpetuating this complete and utter bullshite narrative that YOU are obviously in on.
IF he were a principled man......he would be calling for an end to the plague of black on black violence in this country. LEOs are not going around their AOs targeting young black males to kill. Nearly every one of these incidents has been escalated into a use of force action due to the fault of the individual injured or killed.
Look no further than the Democrat hot beds of Baltimore, Detroit, Chicago, New Orleans, etc. etc. and you will see that the problem is not law enforcement. All of these SJW morons hand wring regarding race relations involving LEOs........instead of attacking the ACTUAL frickING PROBLEM. MANY LEOs go through constant training regarding de-escalation.......so if you utilize common fricking sense you would come to the conclusion that the LIONS SHARE of fault in this particular issue does not rest with Law Enforcment.
It can’t ALWAYS be someone else’s fault!

Would somebody please get that man a #18 jersey asap. You have to admire a young man who is willing to stand up for his team and his school. And he's doing it in a classy way.
As for Eric Reid, the fact that most LSU fans are done with him tells you all you need to know. LSU fans don't turn their backs on former players. LSU fans don't forget a player's contributions. Even when a player's career doesn't turn out like they hoped, they still stand with them. The loyalty shown by the LSU fan base is unreal.
But even for LSU fans, Reid has gone a bridge too far. The flag protests and now this? Taking shots at his own school? Arguing with current and former Tigers?

Saw a video from Larry Elder citing facts that blows a hole in this narrative. ( I’m older and haven’t taken the time to learn how to link) DOJ statistics show that the police are more likely to shoot a white person than a black for fear of being labeled a racist.
You want to fix policing in the black community, do as the black police chief of Dallas said “ Fill out an application because he has openings”

quote:so we can't criticize someone who's made idiotic statements just because he (1) is a former LSU player, and (2) hasn't committed a felony???
Are you really saying “frick him” to a former lsu player who hasnt committed a felony? Just because he has different beliefs than you. Just seems wrong.
Really?
