Only 5. LSU could still make a noise in the SEC if they continue to battle like they did in the 2nd half. Texas is a very good team; unfortunately Bama is better.

I don’t know if I can show up Saturday for another beating.

We got caught looking ahead to Alabama on Saturday...big historical SEC Rivalry.

McKinnon had 29 and was white hot in the second half. He didn’t take a shot the last 4 times down the court. That tells you all you need to know about coaching.
So you think the coach told them to stop feeding Mckinnon, he has scored enough? Players make instaneous decisions on the court, a coach cannot control every scenario. I may have missed it, but I don't recall you complimenting the coach for the 10 baskets he scored in the second half.

You think Coach K or Bobby Knight would have put up with players doing their own thing without regard to the team?

Easily CoachMc drew up plays for other players other than Max - when Max was white hot. Gift horse - mouth. That's not good coaching.

Is anybody going to post the final score since OP apparently doesn't know how to do that in his own thread.

All these players aren’t that bad.. it’s down to piss poor coaching… McFraud doesn’t know how to coach in clutch moments
The coach with a depleted roster, his All SEC level PG out for the season, his skilled inside player out for the season, playing on the road against a future HOF coach with a talented and HEALTHY roster was the best coach on the floor tonight for his team to even come within three points of the heavily favored opponent.

You know what? You’re right.
Thank you for making us see the light.

Two of the last 4 possessions we called a TO. On those possessions we ended up with Nwoko at the FT line and Tamba clanking a 3 off the side of the backboard. Max didn’t touch the ball either time.
I’m a HS coach. If I’ve got a kid who’s scored 20 in the second half, he’s getting the ball coming out of a TO.

People will talk about the offense. But where McMahon lost this game was on the defensive end. Texas is number two in the SEC in free-throw attempts per game. Conversely, they are near the bottom of the league in three point attempts per game. McMahon never changed his defense to force Texas to do something other than what they wanted to do, which was just drive at the rim every possession in the final 10 minutes of the game.
LSU had to shoot 60% in the second half just to keep themselves in the game. But it would not have mattered if the game win another seven or eight minutes, because Texas would’ve just bled the game out at the FT line

That Thamba 3 was wild. Couldn't believe my eyes

His teams do not play defense. You can’t win that way. Even if he recruited at the absolute top level of all college coaches he still wouldn’t win 25-30 games like others do because you can’t win without playing defense.
