That loss to the Aggies was huge, and really unnecessary. It set the tone for the whole season and LSU has come out of the gate shell-shocked in the two games since. Tigers came oh so close to winning that first game.

I don't hold out a lot of hope for Kentucky, unless we can come out strong.

You predicted DJ wouldn't be available for the first 3 SEC games? I don't get you guys who revel in LSU losing so you can say you were right.

McMahon is almost certainly gone after this season. I'm still pulling for LSU to win, though.

Who are we hoping for as the MM replacement?

It's ok little fella, just accept marshmallow puff is never coaching here again and you'll have to buy your own pizzas from now on.

Contrary to popular belief, I couldn't care less who the LSU basketball coach is. Just win.

There you go mentioning him again. I guess in your pmac rim loose brain, McMahon’s suck automatically triggers thoughts of a winning coach

Yep.

If we had come out strong in the last two games, the outcome would have been different in at least 1 of those. If DJ is playing, maybe we can.

Literally any other D1 coach. Would even take Lamont Paris at this point.

Looking at some stats.

Vandy didn't make a FG in the last 3.5 minutes and were 1-7 to end the game. We shot better than them from 2 and 3, which includes a terrible 7-30 from 3 point for them (7-20 for us). They only had one more rebound than us, we had one more assist than them.

Anyways, we had a ton of stats where we were better than them and we still lost by double digits.

Tony Bennett is bored after retirement and wants back in. Go get him!

If he's not interested, maybe LSU President Rousse knows somebody that would be interested.

If Thomas returns, I think we will beat Kentucky. We played a little better today than I expected, and that gives me hope. Miller finally looked decent. Max is playing very well. Nwoko’s and Sutton’s play have dropped a little, but they are still good. Reece is improving, but he isn’t nearly as good as Thomas. Tamba continues to play steady, but his shooting is a liability. Mosley looked like he belonged. If he can emerge, it’ll give us another good 3 point shooter that isn’t a liability. Carter and King are liabilities, so we really need Mosley to emerge. With Mosley and Max on the floor, it’ll make Thomas even better. We may have dug a hole that we can’t dig out of for post season, but with Thomas, I’m optimistic about how this team will do in the remainder of the SEC schedule.

Outside of the first 10 minutes I thought LSU looked solid.

Not sure if it was confidence or whatever but they looked off in the first part of the game.

If they can start putting together some complete games I could see the Tigers having a decent season the rest of the way.

In this day of portal and NIL, there is no excuse for LSU to be a bottom dweller in the conference. Go pay for a coach and some players. Get this fricking bum out of the program.

We had the same number of made FGs, made 3-pt FGs and rebounds as Vandy. Vandy made 11 more FTs than LSU which accounted for the final margin.

If LSU can somehow avoid the horrendous starts which have plagued them so far this SEC campaign, the season may be salvagable after all. Kentucky at home may be the solution to the team's woes. This isn't your daddy's Wildcat team-- they've looked quite ordinary so far.

Joe Lunatic turned out his latest bracket projection yesterday morning. He forecasts LSU in an 11-seed play-in game vs. UCLA. The winner faces #6 Clemson in the Midwest regional in OKC.

He had Kentucky as a #8 seed, and Vandy as a #2 in the same Midwest regional that LSU is trying to "play-in" to.

If they don't beat UK and Mizzou at home, you can chalk up another 3 win season
