This is exactly correct. Besides the "having it" argument, him being 2-0 was next up on the list, along with "Brennan lost to MSU." All the while, completely ignoring the fact that our defense gave up a billion yards against MSU, and the kid from Florida gift wrapped us a win.

Oh sure...Larry Bird throwing routine no look passes and he's HOF, Max attempt just one and its a bonehead play. Double standards across sports is bad for the game.

Finley would have set a Jarrett Lee record for INTs with as much pressure as Max was getting last night.

I actually think the opposite.

Finley may have fumbled a time or two. But, he would have been able to do what Max wasn't able to do...which was make UCLA pay for blitzing by getting the ball downfield.

The OL was an embarrassment. And, that's not hyperbole. I don't know how those guys look at their teammates in the locker room.

Ahh now I see it. Point being, #10 could have caught that pass but didn't even try.

ETA: not defending the play on Johnsons part but Jenkins not diving for the ball is just a symptom of a bigger problem with this team.

Nope. This is way dumber than anything JJ ever did.

Also Max threw a JJ-esque interception earlier in the game. So he matched and then raised JJ in the very same game.

Max had a few good plays and a lot of really really shitty ones.

And to think that pass would had been one of Jordan Jefferson’s best passes ever.

When he sees that dumbass pass wobbling out there ripe for an interception he should shift to defensive mode instead of diving to attempt to catch it.

JJ's throw wasn't a bad decision. if the rb hadn't turned away from JJ it would have been a completed pass instead of an int.

He should do anything except stand by, half arse jogging and watch.

To his credit only Jenkins could have caught it.

If Jenkins had any clue that Johnson was going to throw that, he actually was in position to catch it, which would have been pretty epic

Miles got embarrassed by Mississippi State in Tiger Stadium a year ago. 2 picks, sacked 7 times. Y’all have short memories.

Reminds me of when Wuerffels tried to make that pass with his helmet backwards. Who remembers that gem? LINK

How many games in JJ’s career did he throw for 330 yards and 3TD’s?

Sure that play was terrible. But JJ was fricking trash. I’m not saying Max is good or he’s the answer, but some of these comments are dumb.
