A lot of the talking heads talk about the “culture” and “high expectations” but really they’re referring to this toxicity. It’s not normal.

Simply put. He knows he isn’t starting in the future so the current model says leave. The days of having 2-3 quarterbacks are over.

Timing wise it’s because his brother isn’t signing with us so it would have been really weird if he signed somewhere else and Max was still with LSU.

This is the new CFB model.

I’m fairly certain that the dad was pressing Kelly on a commitment to keep Max at the starting spot and they didn’t get the warm fuzzy so they bolted

The dad is fairly controlling guy

If Max had play calls in on-time and rhythm passing offense, he would be great here. We gave him the freaking starting job, how can he be leaving?

He apparently doesn't fit what BK is planning to do. If he thinks he's better off somewhere else, it's his choice.

If only Dad had spent more time in the backyard with young Johnson having a game of catch … but alas, he did not giving us a top 10 arguably worst QB ever at LSU.

I heard his rolling suitcase startled him as he was moving out. He heard it behind him and froze. When it arrived, he instinctively threw his carryon up in the air behind him and fell to the ground.

Hated brad johnson as a player, and I’m glad I no longer have to tolerate him in our stands.

having a offensive "coordinator" like peetz (who shouldnt have even been in the state much less in tiger stadium) did not help this young man + a makeshift offensive line all season did not help his development. he hung on to the ball a bit too long several times trying to make a play but had some great moments. the dip shits armchair qbs that think they could do better should have thought about the situation a lot more before commenting.

It's a matter of priorities.
