19 walks in 21 innings. Nothing of value was lost

Maybe he’ll head over to Boston college, seemed like they had a good thing going this year.

How do you know what you’re getting until they play real competition in real tough situations. Rizy threw strikes in the fall. He struck out a lot of hitters too. This whole staff is walk/strikeout/hbp/wildpitch

We get into a bench clearing ball we'll wish we had him still

Why are we happy about losing a kid that has arguably the most talented pitcher on the team? He had a solid freshman year and lost his control this year. If he finds it which is very possible then he’s going to be one of the top pitchers in the country. He’s worth a roster spot.

Jacob Mayers had better control than Rizy did

His and Williams's lack of development is a top 5 reason this season was a failure.

Noot was my biggest disappointment considering the expectations when he was finally healthy. He also flashed last season during the run and gave me hope.

Maybe more accurate to say he “hit the portal”

Best of luck to him

Still think we’ve put too much emphasis on velocity and thinking you can teach control later.

I say this as a guy who’s liable to launch a 55mph fastball into the dugout, but I’m not asking anyone to pay me to play.

Unfortunately, there will be many more. This team woefully underperformed this year and these guys are getting paid big bucks now to win.

No excuses anymore…..

It's things like this that leave me sad. I know Rizy didn't have a good year. But I pull for the players as well as the team.

As long as he doesn't become our competition, I wish him nothing but the best.

Not necessarily true. Several will be leaving just because they want to.

I can think of 3-4 that may apply to. Is it more than that? I'm not counting guys that are out of eligibility or could leave for pro ball.

Had me thinking he’s be the second coming of Paul Gervase

Yep

From a player's perspective, they have to get on the field to get to pro ball. I guess the 5 for 5 thing could buy him an extra year, but otherwise, '27 is his money year.

I don’t have an exact number right now. But you are in the ballpark number wise with what I know of so far
