Who is Matt Trent and why should I care about him enough to click on a blind link?

who isn't acknowledging it? What a stupid statement

The team in its current state stinks and I don't see anyone trying to say otherwise.

Do I feel the program itself is on bad footing? Not at all.

Did anyone outside of the fringes of this forum expect LSU to be elite or win the conference this year?

They weren’t even ranked preseason and were picked seventh in the SEC.

The team is playing like shite, but it’s not like the team was a favorite to do anything.

Yeah, they were projected a 1-2 seed not terribly long ago.

When Pinson went down I absolutely expected a slump like this

That rant was pathetic and contradictory. Apparently from his bio he's the weekend anchor...so that's good.

You expected to lose to the bottom of the SEC and a middling Big 12 team that had just been dominated by Texas days prior?

Wow. You're good.

Both our ball handlers are out
Gaines is playing through an injury
Murray is playing through an injury
Williams is playing through an injury

That's all 5 guards out or dealing with injuries recently.

Then Darius Days is also playing through an injury.

It's almost like half the team is injured, not sure what anyone expected. Did anyone pay attention to football this last year or two when half that team got injured or "injured"?

There isn't a team in the country that would be playing any sort of decent with that kind of stuff hampering them right now. Auburn nearly lost to UGA of all teams with their starting PG out, and that's just 1 guy.

I listened to the full thing. He’s going to likely get black balled but it’s not totally unfair. 4 weeks ago I had thought this was maybe Wade’s best coaching job thus far, but the last two weeks has completely tanked those thoughts.

Wade has kind of proven to be a 1 trick pony offensively. Without his customary guard-oriented attack, he has proven to be rudderless. Eason is an after thought despite being your best player. His game impact is almost always self-created. Wade cannot get much out of Days. Which young players have shown improvement the last few weeks?

First it was the referees & now it’s the loss of Pinson (despite playing vs Ole Miss). I get it, Pinson is important. But you shouldn’t have no shot against bad teams, even without him, and that’s how it feels right now,

Was that an excuse for the football team? Of course not.

Not one week during the 2021 season has LSU had a full roster with all key players active. The Tigers over the last two years have been a roster full of injuries, transfers, opt outs and inactive players.

There's not one position group on the roster that hasn't been significantly impacted by injury, the transfer portal or being inactive this season. Here's an updated look at every position, the depth, the players who are currently out and why lack of availability is a source of many issues with this team.

I think you're the one with the comprehension problem.

Please dont tell me you think Pinson's 15 minutes of 0 points, 3 turnovers and 1 assist is actually him "playing". Theyt literally held him out the very next game against Vandy because he's just not close to being effective at all right now.

Really dont understand how people dont get a slew of injuries in basketball would derail any team. Literally all 5 of our guards are out or playing injured right now. Our senior leader in Days is playing through an injury. This is about as bad as it gets from a personnel standpoint.

Hence my "injured" comment as well there...a lot of them just quit, not really "injured". That was the bigger problem with football.

But again the point remains, when you lose half your roster in any sport, things fall apart pretty bad. It shouldnt be surprising. In basketball it doesnt take much.

If You don’t find losing to Ole Miss at home as worrisome, idk what to tell you home boy

Pinson is prob still dinged. Sure. Still a loss you can’t take

I find having half a roster hurt or out very worrisome...and should explain why a team who not long ago was beating Kentucky and Tennessee now cant beat Ole Miss and Vandy.

Hint - it has everything to do with the health of the team and very little to do with the head coach's ability to coach.

Ya think after they literally didnt play him vs. Vandy this weekend and he played just 15 minutes with 0 points, 3 turnovers and 1 assist the game prior

Wade just said they think Pinson is at maybe 70% right now but needs to be closer to 85%+ to be effective really which is why they sat him. He also mentioned the injuries Gaines, Murray, Williams and Days are all dealing with but playing through. Williams gets a shot before every game right now juts to be able to give them 10-20 minutes.
