Matt McMahon not giving up just yet

one of the top transfer targets still in play. Connection to Florida‘s new coach from out in California though. We will see… Guards are so needed and will be as valuable as ever in today’s environment w all the turnover. Absolutely have to have better leadership with the ball in hand. Our guards last year could not do 2+2 on the basketball court… Hopefully Cook and Carlos and maybe this guy will significantly raise the bar.

Why would he be giving up? He’s got a job to do and if he wants to keep it, he needs to double down even harder.

I would hope he wouldn’t give up after 1 fricking year

If you are comparing Florida's and LSU's expected roster for next season, Florida has the edge. They have a returning SG in Richard, have only brought in one guard from the portal, and lost their starting PG from last season.
Pullin is a Senior, so I doubt he is looking to go to a place where he won't be a starter. He's also a PG. LSU is brining in Cook at that spot who put up better numbers in a stronger conference. I doubt Cook is coming to LSU off a 1st team all conf. season in the AAC to come off the bench. That's why he left LSU in the first place. Plus, LSU's roster is technically full (some are saying overfilled).
It would be a great pick up. You can never have too much experienced talent. I'm just not going to get my hopes up for the reasons noted above. Who knows, LSU and Florida may have a quiet anger against one another on the recruting trail. Fudge left LSU to sign with Florida last season. LSU then signed Jalen Reed after he decommitted from Florida. Given the nature of recruiting there may be a little bit of bad blood there we don't know about. So Pullin making LSU is "#2" might be pre-orchestrated to make LSU look bad if/when he ultimately signs with Florida (of course, that could be the opposite too)

Scott, every time someone tells him that:

It could be that Florida might have the advantage in offering him a shot to start at point guard, but otherwise LSU might be in good shape there. Pullin would have to compete for point guard at Florida with another top transfer, Walter Clayton, who was ranked a top 20 transfer by some services.
He could always be a combo guard and back up Cook at point when necessary. I’m betting that could get him a significant amount of court time. You could sell him on starting next to Cook at shooting guard.
If we release Hannibal, then really we only have stewart and cook coming in along with a true freshman, Williams. (Assuming Wright is a wing) I know there are no moral victories in recruiting, but it’s always good to be in someone’s final two

I’ve given up on men’s basketball. I’ve had season tickets since 2015, but I’ve decided not to renew. I’m not paying good money to watch the McMahon train wreck part 2.

I saw a flyer for his basketball camp on the rubber machine at the Shop Rite in Crowley and thought the same thing.

Coach, what's name, won the SEC his second year.

That's outstanding!!!!!!!
Wade would have had us in the tournament EVERY YEAR after his first year, and he still made the NIT taking over a dumpster fire in that year.
And I betcha he would have won it all one or two years somewhere down the line, kinda like Scott Drew at Baylor.
But darn it all to hell, Wade cheated at recruiting. Pricky V, gay Bilas, pat Forde, and dan Wolken will all tell you he had to go. Cuz ya see, the coach gays at Puke and almost all the other top coaches don't cheat (wink wink). Great call Scott.
I still think he threw his friend/relative Emmert a bone to wipe the egg off his face from the beating he took in the media over the years, by donating Wade's scalp to him to pin on the wall.
I'll pull for McMahon because I love LSU and have no choice. I'm very troubled by what I've seen so far, but he seems to be doing better than I thought he would in his second recruiting season. Time will tell.

The General is killing the portal and will be picked to win the southland in year 1. His time in Lake Charles will be short lived.

I was a huge Wade fan when he was here and still want him to succeed, but can we please stop saying this bc it is simply not true

I hope you are correct. I wonder if some won’t give him his due even if they make the NCAA tourney . I get the talent was awful but can we see what he gets?

I hope you’re right. I would love to be proven wrong. I hate that the men’s basketball program is basically dead right now.
