At the end of the day it's all about results meaning wins and losses. Last season in addition to beating top ten ranked Arky, by this point in the season we had beaten Wake Forest on a neutral court and only had a single 2 point loss to K-State on a questionable buzzer beater in the Cayman Classic.
While I will agree that the last couple of games and tonight we have shown improvement and potential, we haven't played as well to say that we have turned the corner yet IMO. Are we more talented than teams like Nichols St. yes, but better talent doesn't always translate into better results.
Let's hope that we can continue with the defensive intensity that they showed tonight. That could be what moves this team into a better position to be successful if they handle their business against Vandy and continue to be competitive against better conference teams.

This is the best example I have ever seen of tRant. This is fantastic! Looks like the tPear posse still riding for their general.
Between the tPear Support Circle Jerk group and the LSU accountants support group, the ones always screaming that we have the poors, this place is a shite show.
Great representation!

Host and game analyst Fishback who I love calling a game was very complimentary of The LSU players, size, speed leadership and LSU is a way better team now. That McMahon had zero chance in a bad situation late in year. Then he was McMahon had great teams and is a great coach who wil give LSU a good program. I feel good about all Fishback thoughts of new upcoming LSU team.

Well, I have certainly questioned the man enough - so when he gets his team to do something I did not think them capable of - rebound, and against a team that coming in rebounds as well as any in not just the conference but the country, I have to tip my hat.
Well done sir, the rebounding was the key to victory, something I never thought I could say about this team.
Geaux Tigers!

The game went a lot better than I had thought it would from previous play this year.
Credit the players and the Coach.
Give props when they are due and criticize when you have to,

None of those coaches were hired with possible sanctions coming to the program. McMahon was the best he could have got and he got him.
I got to give you that one brah.

Until last night, McMahon had beaten only one team “not supposed to beat” at LSU (Arkansas last year). So there was an objective basis for the criticism. Tonight LSU went on the road and beat a good team at THEIR own game. This was a not a win because LSU shot lights out. FAR from it.
I said before the game the early conference schedule can sometimes lend itself to unexpected results as the teams adjust to conf play (though it didn’t expect this would be one of those results). The next game presents a really good opportunity for a win for LSU, and winning can build confidence/momentum…particularly for a program that hasn’t had much in 1.5 years.
Overall you tip your hat to McMahon and the team. It’s great to see all of those guys have something to smile about after a game. Hopefully it continues

Abolutely agree - I like the man, want him to succeed but my take has been he has to show me something I can have hope in and those moments have been very few.

Again we agree, rebounding was the reason we won and as IMHO that has been our biggest weakness since CMM has been here a very pleasant surprise.

It does, conversely a loss puts us right back where we were. Vandy just gave Bama all they wanted last night so don't just chalk up the victory.
I hope to see what I've been waiting and hoping for since CMM got here, development and improvement. It's all I've ever asked. There has been very little of it unfortunately. But last night gives me that glimmer of hope I've been waiting for, have to capatilize on it.

The Rant is sooo stupid and I don’t even mean you.
You’re clearly trying to get people fired up with a take that is hard core stupid to the bone with no chance of any evidentiary support and rantards just fall in line.
Your post could have died a lonely single post death, but no. Rantardation ensued.

But they were still being investigated before hiring the coach that is only behind Saban in active wins. The idea that they had no choice but to give McMohan an 8 year contract is asinine.

The best Woodward hire of all.
He now has as many road wins in his LSU career as Mulkey and Johnson have national championships over the same time period.
MBB has certainly overperformed over the last 2 seasons and anyone who says different is an idiot. If you suspected they should be better than 3-16 in league play or that beating a low end Southland Nicholls teams is some kind of given, then you just don’t understand what CMM was left with.

Bring Wade back, Scott. Do what’s right. If I watch him go somewhere in the SEC and take them to an elite 8 or FF, it’s gonna make me sick.

You’d think that would be the reason you didn’t if you had one because a I’ve been telling yall since the “beating” we took against KState that this team was starting to figure it out. Go back and read my posts. These mfs hang on these statistics and rely on emotions than watching what’s really going on. It’s a totally different team right now so boot tf up and let’s ride.

I agree. Wins are now so precious we need to appreciate everyone.
Forget about playoffs.
Playoffs, playoffs, are you kidding me. Top 64 teams?
Seems so long ago.
