Wins and losses are more important.

This is SEC games only. There is definitely correlation between the top 3 and their ranking, W/Ls, SOS, Overall Offensive and Defensive Team Efficiencies. It is difficult to spin doctor LSU being 50% off the pace.
Malzahn learned in his 2 losses to LSU and Clemson not to get conservative like Miles, even when you have a 20-0 lead at the end of 1st Qtr. The rest of the game LSU was in the shade with air conditioners and AUB was in 120 F sun and they wilted.

I'm no genius but think it matters more if they outscore you when you actually play them.

We have a QB who is holding the offense back

ow do you expect to compete in the West when you're being outscored by every other team?
We have outscored all but 3 teams on our schedule.

I’m with the OP. Canada has been very meh. Our offense was better last year with the same QB. And the year before with Brandon Harris. If Les Miles ran this offense out there, you intellectually dishonest assholes would want him run out of town. Yet, out of 11 seasons, this would probably be Les’s 2nd or 3rd worst offense in his tenure. Another example of lowered standards and expectations.
This offense is simply not good enough to win championships right now. Especially after Aranda decides to bounce. I like O and want him to do well. But Canada has to be better or we’re staring down the barrel of more 9-3/8-4 type seasons.

With possibly one of the most limited QB's

Exactly, there are some blind people in this thread. Everyone keeps saying limited QB but let's just look at our offensive numbers the last 5 years:
LSU Offense since 2012
2016: 28.2 ppg finished 8-4
2015: 32.8 ppg finished 9-3
2014: 29.9 ppg finished 8-5
2013: 38.7 ppg finished 10-3
2012: 29.7 ppg finished 10-3
Who were our superstar QBs in these offenses? Hmm. You may not have liked our OCs in the past, but at least Les was putting up points in a run first offense.

A 37-7 loss will frick up any differential. Thanks Etling.
MrSpock is a very poor name for someone dumb enough to blame the QB for a loss caused by being dominated on both the offensive and defensive lines.

Way to cherry pick a stat. 10th in scoring possibly, but not in total offense. Etling is 6th in SEC passing yds. offense is 56th nationally in total offense. Better than the 111th and 105th nationally from just a couple of years ago.

And this offense outgained the best team in the conference.
Stats are funny, huh?

Dude he’s doing well with what he has a below average QB
Posted on 11/13/17 at 9:52 pm to Bonkers119
Team that most gave up for dead early is now 7-3 and on since roll. So let's have yet another thread knocking the team in some manner. Life is too short to work so hard at being miserable.

Matt Canada's offense is 10th in the SEC And the worst in the SEC west. Only mustering up 26.2 ppg.
And yet when we beat Tenn and A&M we will be 2nd in the West!!!

And averaging over 400 yards per game but we wouldn’t expect a hater to give the total picture of what Canada’s done.

I really hate these this stat proves this point posts especially when they're this stupid.

So if we're averaging over 400 yards per game but only scoring 26.2 what does that say about our redzone offense? Maybe a focal point for Canada this offseason?
Eta: We're 101st in Redzone efficiency, and give up 86% to opponents. Pretty bad stats no matter how you look at it.
And we're 103rd in yards per point at 16.6. But yes, that offense is on fire.

The fact that we have a below average "game manager" under center is.
It's some funny shite how lack of offensive production is now laid at the foot of Danny and not Canada or O but before the same lack of production was tied directly to Cam and Les. Never mind the fact those changing their tune also feel Danny to be better than either Jennings or Harris.
