You’re saying he has a couple of phone calls next week regarding P5 job? If that’s the case, I don’t see how LSU can wait that long for a definite answer/signed contract.

It will come down to $$$$$.

He left without making a decision, but my sources say he was spotted riding Mike the Tiger up the steps of his plane.

And you think Cincinnati is a great place to live and raise a family? Better go do some research
Cincinnati actually *is* pretty great. Ridiculously cheap housing market—WAY cheaper than BR—tons of stuff to do, and very good schools. It’s actually a great place to raise a family.
I know people don’t wanna hear it on this board but it’s the truth

Next on the list?
Seriously, if Freeman declines, Orgeron better bite fast on Nielsen, Odom or Muschamp to save face......

LSU isn't going to wait that long. If he did have offers or interviews it would be out by now.

You compare it to BR?

Some of you have a very strangely mirage-like view of Baton Rouge. As someone that grew up there most of my life and went to LSU for a couple of degrees, it’s turned into a shithole.
Just because put up some new stuff with apartments and stores around campus hasn’t made the city magically better. As a whole it is worse than when I left nearly 20 years ago.

I lived there five years and I loved the place.

This doesn’t necessarily mean anything besides the man has some respect and dignity.
While I want to know he’s coming to LSU, the more this drags on and we see how he’s handling this whole thing, the more respect he’s gaining from me. He’s handling this with class and diligence.

f you are blown away by the people you will be working with and working for, the culture and the facilities then you don't hesitate to accept the offer before you get on the plane. ND and LSU will both offer huge money and he won't be at either place more than 1 year. This is a bad look.
Mother of God

Consider this: he signed with LSU with his wife by his side. He asked that LSU not release and information before he talks to Fickel in person. This very well could be plausible.

I always thought Odom was the other candidate that was supposed to be considered. If we dont get Freeman, he wouldnt be a bad one. Hes doing better at arkansas then expected, they have a better d then us with worse players.even if they fit the scheme he runs better, they still arent better players then we have. He would have us a top 5 d in the sec every year ,minimum.
Btw,how do we know that the reason freeman wasnt hired today isnt because coach o and them wanted to interview Odom too before deciding on which they wanted. I doubt that's the case, but do we know, for sure ,it isnt the case ?

Well I've been to Cincinnati and
New Orleans/ Baton Rouge has
1,000 x the Culture. Not hating on Ohio, Dayton, Columbus were a blast !

I would hope the professional side of Fickel who truly cares for his partner is not that fickle.

He wants to have a presser with Notre Dame and LSU hats on the table.
And thanks God first and asks that we respect his decision.
