Marcus Freeman is flying back to Cincinnati after interviews at Notre Dame and LSU. No official decision has been made yet, per sources. Freeman likely wants to discuss with his inner circle including Luke Fickell. #Bearcats

I don’t like that, but in his situation I’d do the exact same thing.

I mean did we expect him to just accept and not go back home to talk with his family and people close with him?

This is TD, people here expected him to get off the plane and lead the fight song.

Maybe he waits to see if Fickell gets an offer to a bigger program and then he takes over Cinci as HC.

If the rumors of Pruitt being out at Tennessee are legit, then that could be a landing spot for Fickell that people don't think about.

It's close enough to his recruiting areas and is somewhere he will need to recruit broader anyhow.

It’s not that crazy to go home and think about it and talk to family.

It's been said before by pay site that when fickell was offered the Michigan st job he talked it over with freeman first & made a decision. I think there's alot of respect between the 2 & freeman wants to do the same.

Means he’s diligently considering his options. As he should . I assume he was given a deadline of 24 hrs or so to give his answer. Totally reasonable by all parties.

Well the fact his wife was with him means it’s plausible that a decision could have been made while on the ground at LSU. The fact that it wasn’t does not bode well for the home team.

OTOH, I can see him wanting to run some of the mechanics and particulars by Fickell and his mentors.

But hell, I was hoping that long green in LSU’s offer would make this a no-brainer for Freeman to go ahead and sign on the dotted line. That obviously is not the case so him leaving Baton Rouge undecided has me a little apprehensive.
