Maybe due to the linebacker position. Pushing him to play inside when he’s more comfortable at safety. Maybe they asked him to change numbers too? #9 will be retired now??

I mean if he’s complaining about playing LB when we’ve just put two consecutive LBs in the first round, then I don’t know what to say. It’s hard for a team to stay focused when you have a major contributor who doesn’t want to play their position. Good luck to him.

Pelini is much more traditional than Aranda. Brooks is a tweener. His role was that safety/lb hybrid, rusher in the 3-4 blitz package.

Edit: some people on twitter seem to think it's becaue he didn't like the way LSU handled that racist kid situation as compared to Bama, OU and UGA. I'd take that with a massive grain of salt.
2nd thought: It's kinda ironic that he was the guy after the Bama game goin up to the recruit section telling them to come play for LSU.

F it. We don't need him. We a 40-50-60 team now anyway. who needs defense. We gave up 25 and 28 in the CFP and everyone thinks we steamrolled Clemson and OU. F Defense.

I love how you guys try to create a narrative to make y’all feel better about him transferring but it has nothing to do with football, Shea Dixon just said it in the board, he’s transferring for personal reason

Never understood the notion of him being a middle LB. Never made sense. Dudes a safety before he is a MLB
