Not really. Season tickets have already been sold. Losing out on concession sales

They aren't even checking anyways.
I showed the gate guy a phone picture of me on a paddle board and he didn’t even realize that it wasn’t my vaccination card

Why is it that our administration makes such stupid decisions?

At the worst we'd have 55,000 versus CMU in the Curley days.
It’s a completely different fan base. In the Curley days we might have a few games a year on TV when we played a good opponent. People would go to the games bc that was the only way to watch it unless you paid for tigervision. Which wasn’t available everywhere and was terrible.
Despite the covid restrictions, our fans only show up for the big games anyway. The last home game before covid (A&M which was Burrow’s senior night) had a good crowd but there still empty seats around me.

Agree I had six tickets with a parking pass and could not give them away. I could not make the game due to health issues at this time but no one wanted to go. Some young people that are friends with my son wanted to go but none of them were ever vaccinated.

Does the fact that a lot of people are still dealing with the aftermath of Ida not affect attendance?
In reality it's a little bit of everything. Smaller, non conference opponent, Covid protocols, people not wanting to deal with the logistical headaches for a smaller opponent, the previous games and performance, Ida, the comfort of home. If you go back and look at past games of this type, the stadium was rarely filled to capacity and it empties out when the Tigers had a big lead. But people like to key in on the one aspect that supports their rant and use that to explain the whole issue so they can talk about how big that problem is. In reality it's always a bunch of contributing factors. Still, you would like to see a capacity crowd every game. Keep winning and there's a better chance that the other objections will be overcome and the seats will get filled.

can tell you this from first hand experience. My pertners and I all voted for Trump, but we will have to fake going woke if we want to stay viable.

Most companies that have taken a “woke” (as you would put it) stance have actually seen a substantial increase in revenue.

I gave away two tickets to friends for 2019 aTm because I couldn’t sell them.
Also going back many years, the issue was fans pouring out of TS in the 3rd & 4th quarters, long before the game ended.
The difference is fans came in but didn’t stay long pre 2020 restriction bullshite.
Those same two alumni friends stopped even watching in 2020 after the crap last year about O not marching. They said it’s been fun but we can’t support.
In 2021 I’m not going because of the mandate.
I fully agree LSU has ruined the fan experience going back to piped in music in 2008. Lots of contributing factors to the attendance issue, all of which have been decisions by LSU except the absurd number of TV timeouts. But this 2021 empty seat issue too is self inflicted & LSU is accelerating the attendance decline with the vaccine mandate.

Republican Governor will remove the woke liberal supervisors who in turn will hire a conservative school President. Elections have dire consequences, even for football!

And that will change things, money talks.

A ton of Tiger fans come to every game from distant areas of the State. Our drive is 150 miles, and we normally spend Friday and Saturday nights in Baton Rouge. It's hard to justify coming to games when it means driving back afterward, and getting home after 1:00 in the morning. Fans from other areas of the State have even longer drives.
I've been as critical as anyone, in prior years, about poor attendance and fans leaving early, when the team needs our support for four quarters. We shouldn't be as critical this year, however, given the disruptions of Ida, the continuing tragedy in Southwest Louisiana from Laura and Delta, and the recent cancellation of hotel rooms for out-of-towners.
