For all the shite Segar gets here, she sure handled this the right way.

No
He's obviously questioning the guys motives, trying to get him to say a number and questioning his AAU/Nike affiliates.

Probably because he didn't do anything to this person besides hurt her feelings.

I read it as Verge warning the guy he better be careful because he was going to go to Nike about this and let them know he was shaking colleges down. I don't know Verge that well, we were never on a name to name basis, but have interacted with him a couple of times before over a decade ago. I have always thought of him as very serious and the kind of guy who isn't going to take any shite from anyone. So that probably is a bias I have on this statement. But I do think that it goes to show there isn't much context here to give us enough idea what he was actually saying, since we can come up with two completely different thoughts.

f Verge implying he was going to check the guy out or that Nike would pay him?
I took it as a veiled threat.
eta I'm still confused as to why anyone thought saying nasty things to an old woman would warrant any type of suspension.

Can’t wait to bump all the threads bashing LSU

adds another angle to why lawyers and NOPD wouldn’t touch her case
what case?
A) guice was not representing LSU in any capacity
B) sexual harrasment is deemed nothing more than, at max, harrasment.
there is no case. no real law was broke.
TLDR:
there is no law against what guice did, stfu acting like there is
GUICE is a piece of shite, a pervert, and a danger to society
Scott is looking for a payday

Allegedly at that. There’s no way to prove he said those things outside of her word vs. his.

Right, but my point is why do you have to verify who he is unless you are considering paying him out.
I would say because even if they had no intention of paying him a penny, it could be considered blackmail either way for him to say what he did.

That’s where I’m at... in some ways, I’m kind of glad this situation has become a big story, because there’s really nothing there. Even if Guice is a POS, nothing he did in this instance was illegal or against the law. A bad look?... sure, but not much more.
He said some crude, inappropriate things to an old lady. Who gives a shite?

It definitely approaches some type of extortion law I’m sure
I doubt LSU pursues any charges. They are just trying to make themselves look good
USA Today reporters are already complaining that this was only given to certain local media

Correct. We all have at some point.
I think Guice did some shitty things at LSU, but this isn't the one that gets him in trouble.

Does not exonerate him, but it absolutely chips away at the credibility of the accuser.

The chances of her not knowing about him asking for money is between slim and none.

disturbing the piece coers a long line of things and essentially is a catch all. and who cares, its a misdomeanor that is akin to public intoxication.
you come on here in every thread about this and spew this bullshite.
so here is me disturbing the piece, SHUT THE frick UP!!!
